Twenty Two ~ Vampire Court

Opening my eyes I find myself laying against Aido in his bed under the duvet. He has an arm wrapped around me and with that arms hand he stroke my hair gently.

Looking to his face I see his eyes are shut but I know he is awake. I roll over slightly and hug him tightly feeling a little pain as I do so.

"Ayane" Aido says and opens his eyes and looks down to me and pulls a small smile "How you feeling?"

I shift slightly "I'm a little bit sore, but I'll live."

Aido curses under his breath and runs a hand through his hair "I knew I should of been more gentle, I was trying to hold back but I felt so overwhelmed, you have no clue what you do to me" He looks down to me with a worried expression.

I slither my arms around him and rest my head against Aido's chest "I'm fine, just hold me"

He chuckles and kisses the top of my head and gives me a tight squeeze before saying "I would say in this position forever but we need to get up"

I groan and pull the covers over my head when Aido removes himself for the bed.

"Come on, I'll grab your clothes for you"

"Fine" I mumble.



"We have a letter, from the vampire court, Kaien Cross has already read it, I haven't read it yet but I thought Ayane would like to read it for us" Rima says entering the room where we all sit at a long table.

Rima passes me the letter and I feel myself gulp. The letter is in a white envelope and is written in red writing. Opening it up slowly I pull out the one paged letter and look down to it and start to read to everyone.

"'Dear night class of cross academy,

I have recently found out that a pure blood vampire student from your school has disappeared from sight, he realise that this person I now dead and would like to let you know that this vampire is called Ash Henrick, also known as Ash Aido the cousin of your other student Hanabusa Aido.

"'We have looked into this murder and into the history of Ash and found that the one person who could have killed him was... Ayane Nakashima'" I look down at the letter my hands starting to shake but I know that I must continue.

"'We have decided to let Ayane Nakashima off due that she is a newborn vampire and probably didn't intend to do any kind of harm, but if we find out she has done something again we will have to take things to a certain matter, for example kill her. We don't mean any harm and would like to pay a visit to you very soon.

"'Yours sincerely, Mr N'"


There is silence for a while causing me to panic. "They don't mean it right, they won't actually kill me?" I ask feeling a little frantic with myself.

"They said unless you do something" Ruka says looking across at me "I'm sure you'll be fine, it's just the shock, plus you were frightened and scared and he was the one who has caused you more harm"

...I'm sure she's right, I wonder who the vampire court are, do they keep track of every vampire? Do they control us all?
