That One Night (Vampire Knight FanFic)

Nine ~ The Vampires PART1

"Ayane!" Aido calls to me waving as he walks out of his dorm with the other vampires and like always, I am crowded by a bunch of fangirls.

"WE LOVE YOU KANAME!" Girls scream from the front trying to reach for Kaname, like always Yuki and Zero are trying their hardest.

"Knock it off will you!" Yuki scolds the girls, the girls only argue back.

Turns out I won't be saved today since Akira has caught a cold, I remember him this morning begging me for forgiveness, I told him its fine and he should go to bed straight away, he didn't have a chance to argue.

"EEEEEEEEKKKKKKK IT'S SHIKI!!!!!!!!!!" Girls scream from behind me and they shove me forward and push me over so I land on my hands and knees.

"Ah! Ayane!" Aido rushes over towards me, the fangirls squeal and step back giving him some space. Aido holds out his hand "Are you okay? Ayane?"

I take his hand and he pulls me up, he gives me a giant smile making me smile, I couldn't help it. "You better put a plaster on that scratch" Aido warns me looking down to my legs where I have graze my knee. As I am about to say I'll get a plaster for it I find Aido looking at me holding a plaster in front of me "Here"

"Ah, thank you" I say going to take it from his hands, but I am too late as Aido goes onto his knees wiping the cut with his hand and then placing the plaster on my wound. "T-Thank you" I say.

He stands up and smile "You're welcome" He leans towards my ear making the fangirls scream behind me "See you tonight, I'm going to take you somewhere"

Somewhere? Where? I want to know now...

He gave me a wink and a wave before walking off with the rest of the vampires.

As soon as he left I got bombarded with fangirls and questions.

"Are you going out with Aido?!"

"Has he kissed you? Snogged you even?!"

"W-What is he like?"

"HAVE YOU HAD-" A girl starts a dirty question but got cut of by another girl who covers her mouth and tells her to shh.

While the girls are distracted I see a gap and make a run for it as fast as I can before they fangirls run after me.

I hide myself in the library and study while I am at it. I need to hide from the herd as long as possible.

After lessons finish I ask if I can go and visit Akira since I haven't seen him all day, I bet he is sulking in his room. Knocking on the door I am only allowed half an hour before I have to go back to my dorm or to the school grounds.

Akira opens the door and I see him wearing a t-shirt and boxers. A large blush forms on his face "Ah! Sorry I didn't think it would be you! Let me get changed!"

"Akira, I have seen you wearing this before, no need to get embarrassed, now invite me in, we need to study" I say folding my arms.

He sighs before moving out of the way of the door "Come in, I'll get my stuff and I have bottles of water"

I enter his so called 'room' which looks like a herd of elephants has rolled around in it. There is no bed, just a mattress, his curtains are hanging off the pole. Clothes are chucked around everywhere, his desk draws are open revealing hanging socks. Pens and pencils scattered all over the floor. My jaw drops at the mess. The last time I saw Akira's room which was a coupe of weeks after we came friends it looked so clean I was amazed but now...I am completely shocked.

"Before we study, we are tidying up your room, I ain't sitting in this pit" I say and hold my nose tightly with my hand and put my back in a surprisingly empty corner

Akira coughs before answering me back "Fine!"

Akira rooms ends up so clean that it smells like a girl, it will smell like a boy after a couple of hours, it is just because I have sprayed my deodorant.

"Lets study!" I say and sit on his mattress and open up my books, Akira sits beside me and starts copying my notes into his notebook so he can study while he is sick.

"I didn't think you would come here and help me study, I thought you wouldn't want to get sick"

"I wouldn't, but I thought with half an hour you can get today's lessons written down in no time, now hurry up, we have Maths, geography, art left to do!"

He chucks "Yes Ayane-sensei"

I hit him on the shoulder with a smile "don't call me sensei, there is no way I could become a teacher!"

"I think you would be a great teacher"

I smile "Thanks"

"I'm speaking the truth!" He demands

I flap my hand at me "yeah, yeah, of course you are"

He huffs "you're sometimes hard work Ayane"

I roll my eyes "Speak about yourself"

Waiting at the tree for Aido I start humming a tune while thinking about where Aido is going to take me today... A dinner? A movie? To his dorm? Up to the sky? I think I am over thinking this slightly...

"Ayane!" Aido calls for me while waving giving me a massive smile, he gives me a big hug and a peck on the lips making me blush slightly "Are you ready?"

"Of course but...where are we going?" I ask

He takes my hand, his cold hands make my hands cold but I don't care about that.

"To meet everyone of course! Like Kaname, Senri, Kain, Ruka and all the other vampires" he says giving me a smile.

My heart stops and my whole body stops, Aido turns to me raising an eyebrow "Ayane? What's wrong? Don't you want to meet them?"

"I-I do!" I say looking at Aido in the eye but look to the floor "I'm just worried they wouldn't like me..."

"Of course they will! Don't be silly" Aido chuckles and walks over to me "They'll love you, Kaname already accepts you"

"Really?"

Aido nods "Yes! Now come on, they are probably getting bored of waiting!"

"Y-Yes!"

I enter the door with Aido gripping hold of his hand tightly. Everyone is sitting in a room, all eyes turn to me making me flinch slightly.

S-So many vampires in just one room...and I'm just one human altogether!

"Everyone this is my girlfriend Ayane" Aido says cheerfully

I blush at the word 'girlfriend'.

"It is very nice to meet you Ayane, we have heard a lot about you from Aido that we just couldn't wait to meet you, so we requested we meet you as soon as possible" Kaname comes up to me first and gives me a hand shake "Aido says you are very different and have changed him ever so slightly"

"Y-You requested that you wanted to see me?" I ask and I see some of the vampires nod making me feel a little less nervous "I-I don't think I have changed Aido at all, Aido in general is a really good person and-"

I am cut off by Aido chuckling behind me "I'm so glad you think I'm generally a good person"

"B-But you are!"

"Can we offer you some water?" Ruka walks over to me holding out a glass of water.

"Ah...thank you" I say taking the water taking a sip. A horrid taste enters my mouth and I drop the glass on the floor and start coughing.

"Ayane!" Aido rushes over to me rubbing my back "What did you do Ruka?!"

"I just put something in there to stop making her blood so desirable" Ruka says

"Ruka I think it is best if you go to your room, you have all ready caused our guest some trouble" Kaname says receiving a bottle of water from Shiki.

"S-Sorry" Ruka says bowing to me before leaving the room

"Sorry about Ruka" Kaname says.

"It's fine" I say as Aido sits me down and pats my back.
