Sixteen ~ Turned

Sitting against the tree I wait for Aido to show up while reading my book, my cross necklace is clipped around my neck.

Flipping through a couple of pages pretending to read I exhale and rest my head against the tree. Where is Aido? He is late and it is making me feel restless. What if Ash said is true? What if he has triggered Aido and he is going crazy...

I take my necklace off and look at it for a moment running my thumb over it.

Looking straight forward now I see a figure in the distance stumbling towards me. It body is slim, blonde hair covering his face. Aido! Chucking my necklace and book aside I jump up and wave when I realise something is wrong.

Aido isn't waving back or looking back at me. He stands in front of me I don't say anything for a while, when I open my mouth Aido places his hands on my shoulders and pushes me against the tree gently but a little forced.

"Aido...you're acting strange, I don't like it...what happened? You can always talk to me" I say looking at him wishing to see his face.

The raindrops start to fall but the leaves and branches of the tree just barely protects us, keeping us nicely dry.

"I'm sorry" Aido says dryly making me gulp in return "None of this was suppose to happen, but I am just so...." He looks up to me his eyes are bright red, his fangs are down, his eyes look straight at me and I know I have no where to run to.

I am trapped.

"...thirsty" Aido finishes off and then harshly bites into my neck causing me to let out a gasp.

My hands grip hold of the tree behind me to try and keep me up on my two feet.

My blood begins to boil making me feel breathless as I slide down the teeth onto my bottom, Aido crouches down and continues to bite me various of times. Pulling away he looks at me with sorrow.

"I'm sorry" He mumbles and kisses me with open mouth, I can taste my own blood, the scent makes me gag. Aido pulls me into a tight embrace, I feel like my bones my break any second because of how tight he is squeezing me. "I love you" he whispers into my ear. He pecks my lip with a kiss and he sends kisses pass my jaw and down to my neck and he bites me again.

My vision starts to fill with darkness. I try to tell Aido to stop but no words leave my mouth as I start to fall into darkness.

"Do you think she'll be okay?"

"What do you think?"

"We can all deal with this when she wakes up"

Fluttering my eyes open I see the ceiling before me. Sitting up I hold my head in my hands and see Aido, Kaname and Ruka sitting before me.

"Ayane!" Aido says taking hold of my hands tightly giving them a little squeeze "I am sorry sorry about what I have done, are you okay, do you feel pain anywhere?"

"I feel absolutely fine, no pain what do ever" I say touching my neck where it feels completely normal "What happened?"

"Aido sucked your blood and turned you" Ruka says crossing her legs and folds her arms.

"S-So blunt" Aido says

"Turned me?" I ask

Kaname turns to Aido and passes me a mirror "You better look for yourself"

I raise and eyebrow and take the mirror, looking at it I see something which surprises me, it is defiantly me...apart from my eyes are no longer my perfect blue but crisom red. Dropping the mirror onto my lap I don't want to look anymore.

"V-Vampire" I manage to get out. Looking to my skin I see it is slightly paler than it was before, my teeth normal but I know contains sharp razor fangs.

"I-I... I don't know what to do" I say

"There is nothing you can do" Kain enters the room with a glass of water and a black box of tablets. I know where this is going. Kain passes them to Kaname to sort out while Kain starts talking to me.

"I figured you would be thirsty, since we can't have real blood here, we have these tablets instead"

"Aren't they meant to taste horrible?" I ask

"It is worth a try" Rima enters to room.

Taking the glass from Kaname politely I watch the water turn red making me shiver, raising the glass to my lips I take a gulp letting the taste explore my mouth before swallowing.

I shove the glass back into Kaname's hand and start coughing.

"It's disgusting!" I demand

Aido sits beside me and pats my back for me as I continue to cough. Kaname stands up from his sitting position and he

"This is all my fault" Aido says "I didn't tend to do it, I got triggered by Ash and I just..."

"Triggered?! No! You were dying of thirst!" Kaname demands breaking the glass which I was drinking out of against the wall.

"I would never of hurt Ayane unless something was wrong with me!" Aido demands and stands up prepared to fight Kaname.

"Please don't fight" I say resting my head against the pillow.

"Sorry...." Aido says

"I will go and inform Kaien about this incident" Kaname says leaving the room before everyone follows apart from Aido.

"You know I wouldn't hurt you, right?" Aido asks laying down beside me.

I hug him tightly "I know"

"I love you more than anything" Aido whispers into my hair "Get some rest for now"

"What if I go to sleep?" I ask

"Ayane...we don't sleep properly, if you go to sleep just a little bit I promise to wake you" Aido says.

Of course.

"Thank you" I say before shutting my eyes shut.
