It's Complicated

Chapter 6

So far I had stopped by at least seven stores, and I was on my way to the food court. I was to lost in my mind, I hadn't realized I walked into somebody.

"Oh. Sorry" I said not looking up, but just turning around them.

"It's alright. I didn't realize you were gonna be at the mall today" I heard somebody say. I couldn't really recognize who they were, but they sounded familiar.. So I did the only think I could. I turned around, and froze.

Standing in front of me was the kid who stuck with me for life. The one I had when Julia and Chloe were turning against me. The shoulder I could cry on. The only best friend that would do anything to just be with me. Austin.

"AUSTIN" I screamed, jumping into his arms. I wrapped my legs around his waist, and hung onto him for dear life. I caught Austin off guard, as he lost his balance a little bit, but shortly got it back.

"Hey" he said, chuckling a bit as he set me down.

"Oh My God! I missed you so much! Where have you been!?" It was so amazing to see him again. He had to move a couple months after the whole Julia and Chloe thing, because his dad's job got transferred.

"When my dad's job got transferred we moved here. Don't you remember?" I thought back to all the memories I had when I hung out with austin. I remembered him telling me he was moving to Florida, but I guess it just never came across my mind.

"Oh" was all that could come out of my mouth.

"Hey listen, I have to get running. But give me a call later on" he said, giving me a little piece of paper with numbers written on it.

"Alright. It was so nice seeing you again!" I stuffed the note in my pocket, and gave him one last big hug.

It was now around 5 and I was heading back to the house. I pulled into my driveway, and walked inside. I noticed my parents still weren't home. The snow had died down, so I supposed they would be back already.

I walked upstairs, and into my room. i slipped out of my shoes, and put on my comfy bunny slippers. Then laid on my bed, and put Austin in my contacts.

P: hey austin!

A: who is this?

P: a fat dude that works at Pizza Hut

A: haha. Hey page.

P: hiya

A: what's up?

P: nothing much just laying in my bed

A: nice

P: yea. How about yourself?

A: hanging out at this park next to my house. It's so quiet

P: hey i have a park next to my house too! Lol

A: awesome.

P: is it snowing?

A: yea but really light

P: that's good. I'm going to go for a walk, and get some fresh air.

A: alright. Talk to you later.

P: bye!

I took off my slippers, and put on some boots. When I came downstairs, I grabbed Lucy's food bowl, and filled it up for her. Walking to the closet, I grabbed my coat, and walked outside. I locked the door, then started walking. I walked up to the park by my house, and decided to walk around that area, considering its pretty big. Before you say, no it's not a park where there's swings and slides. It had a set of swings, and that's about it. Then there's grass, a lake, that's frozen, and some benches where families can have picnics or barbecues. It's a very nice park I have to admit. I hadn't realized the sky had gotten dark. I checked my phone, and saw it was only 5:40. I looked at the sky, to realize that there very dark clouds. Almost black looking.

"Uh oh" I said almost at a whisper.

It started to pour really hard. I could feel the hale start to fall on me. It was really huge hale. Almost the size of a baseball. Before I could even think clearly I hear somebody. Someone really familiar. Who is that?

"Page!" I hear austin scream. I turn to run to him, give him a hug, let him save me, but karma already got the best of me as a giant ball of hale falls on my head, knocking me unconscious.
