It's Complicated

Chapter 7

Beep... Beep... Beep...

I groan, reaching for the alarm clock, but there was no alarm clock. Instead I spilt a water glass over, and the beeping continued. I try to open my eyes, then becoming blind by a bright light.

"Oh good, she's up. Go ahead and call her mom in. I'll go get the tests" said a girl. Where am I?

The bright light goes away, making it visible to see. I look around, seeing I'm in a doctors office it looks like.

"W-w-wher-re am-m i?" I struggle to say. My throat seems to be really dry.

Just then a nurse walks in with a water glass in her hand, along with a pill it looks like, and a piece of paper on a clipboard with a pen.

"Here sweety, take this" she handed me the pill, along with the water glass. I swallow the pill, and take a giant gulp of water.

"Thank you. Where am I?" Finally, I was able to speak clear.

"Your in the doctors office. A young man came and brought you here. Said his name was Austin?" She said with a curious look on her face, trying to remember his name.

"Austin! Is he here?" I then shot out of the bed, looking around the room frantically.

I really need to see him. Like now.

"Yes, he is sitting in the waiting room? Would you like me to go get him?" She asked, with a warm smile on her lips.

"Please" i replied.

I have so many questions to ask him. How did he get me here? Especially in the giant storm. I wonder if it's still raining? Well, hailing.

"Page.." I hear austin say, walking towards me slowly.

When he gets close enough to me, i reach out and give him a giant bear hug.

"How did you get me here? In the storm?" I asked him, pulling away from the hug.

"There was a bench with a roof-like thing over it. I just sat there and waited for the storm to pass. When it started raining lightly, i headed back" he shrugged.

I looked at him, and smiled.

"Thank you! Sorry about the accident. Karma just has it's ways" i said, as we laughed a bit together.

"Page? Page! Oh page! I was so worried! Are you alright! Oh my gosh! Is this a bump?" My mom yelled, running in. I rolled my eyes, as she inspected my whole head.

"Yes mom, I'm fine." I said, rolling my eyes again.

When we finished filling out all the paperwork, we headed home. Once we went inside, i went up to my room. I took a warm shower, and cleaned up.

After I was changed, I went downstairs and began popping popcorn. When the popcorn was baked, i texted austin if he wanted to come over and watch some movies.

P: hey! Come over? Movie night! :)

A: do you have nutella?

P: i think so..?

A: be there in 5 seconds

I chuckled a bit, noticing just how obsessed he is with nutella. Surprisingly, the doorbell rang. I got up, seeing it was austin. Wow, he wasn't kidding.

"Austin!" I screamed, tackling him in a bear hug.

"Woah" he said, stumbling back a bit.

I chuckled, and let him in. We walked to the tv room, and got out a variety of movies.

Right now, we were arguing over which movie to watch.

"Despicable me!" Austin screamed, mad.

"Finding Nemo!" I shot back.

We glared at each other, then ran off.

How our friendship works, is when we get mad at each other, we run off and think of something evil to do to each other. Let me tell you..

I have the perfect plan.

Uh oh. Page is up to no good! Haha! So how have you guys been? (: i miss you guys! A lot! School is just so crazy right now! & I'm failing math lol. Omg this Friday I have my first school dance for this year! I think we have like 4? Idk.
