It's Complicated

Chapter 9

I can't believe it. Julia is here. My ex best friend. The one that made my life a living hell. Is here. At my school. In the same classroom as I'm in. Breathing the same oxygen. How is this possible!?

"Julia, there looks to be an empty seat by Page. Why don't you sit there" my teacher said.

Oh no. I think I'm going to be sick.

She slowly approached me, afraid if she made one move I would kill her with my bare hands.

"O-okay" she stuttered, as she sat down.

I stared at her, as she reached in her backpack for a pencil.

"Alright class, go ahead and work with partners on this paper" the teacher said, passing out the worksheet.

I grabbed my pencil, and wrote my name on the paper. Not daring to look up, I spoke.

"Why are you here. I thought you were hanging with that Barbie wannabe and her little bodyguards" I said, rolling my eyes at the last part, considering Julia was one of them.

"Page I'm so sorry! I should of listened to you. You were my best friend, I don't even know why I believed them. I guess I just wanted to fit in for a change" she said, playing with the zipper on her jacket.

I started working on my paper, until surprisingly she was the one who spoke this time.

"Page, will you forgive me?" I looked up to her eyes and saw she was on the verge of bursting her eyes out.

I kinda felt bad, but at the same time she should feel my misery. The bell rang, so I packed up ignoring her question.

"Page?" She spoke, but yet again I ignored her.

I ran out of that classroom bumping into a brick wall. Oh wait, it's Tyler.

I grabbed his arm and dragged him into the janitors closet. When we were in there I closed the door and just cried. I cried in his shoulders. Finally letting loose the tears I have been holding in for who knows how long.

He hugged me tight, rubbing circles in my back for comfort.

Leaning down he whispered in my ear, "what happened"

I looked up at him and whispered "Julia's here"

I could see the confusion in his eyes. I don't think he knows much about Julia.

I was going to explain everything. Starting from the beginning. But before I could say a word, he leaned in and kissed me.

Julia's POV

"Page?" I spoke, yet again she ignored me.

I don't get it. I'm trying so hard to be her friend again. Yea I guess I kind of ruined her life, but I'm asking her for a second chance. Isn't that what she wanted?

I walked out of class, seeing no sign of Page. She couldn't of wondered that far. Maybe I'll see her at lunch. Yea, at lunch. I can sit by all her friends, so hopefully I can make some and she won't be as hard on me.

I walked into my next class. There was an empty seat so someone must be absent. As the teacher began to speak, the door flew open and there walked in the most gorgeous guy I have ever seen. He had a perfect jaw line, and the most gorgeous eyes. He glanced at me for a second, and that caused me to get a swarm of butterflies.

He sat down in the empty seat, which was right next to me.

The teacher handed us a practice test and told us we could pair up with somebody. I turned to him and he turned to me.

"Wanna work together?" He asked me, flashing the most gorgeous smile I have ever seen in my life.

"Sure. What's your name?" I asked. I was really curious to find out. I'm head over heels for him. Maybe I can have a chance with this mystery boy.

"My names Tyler." He said, shooting me a wink.
