It's Complicated

Chapter 26

Well this was the day. The day I'm going home. The day I'm going to have to face so many old faces. The day so many questions will be answered.

I shoved my last pair of clothes in my small suit case, as I brought it off my bed and wheeled it down the stairs. When I got downstairs, Drew had his suitcase too. We all decided to have him come along, so that way he won't be stuck here. I just kind of feel bad for his girlfriend, as for they had to break up. Haha sike. I could care less about her.

Drew took my suit case, and walked outside to put both of the suitcases in the trunk of his car. I didn't really bother to say bye to Tyler. I know I forgave him and all, but I'm just not on speaking terms with him quite yet.

We said our goodbyes, as we were now on the road back to mom and dad's house. Drew was blasting his radio, and I was rocking out, singing along to every song that played. I listen to music way to much.. I picked up the food bag, and picked out some skittles. Pouring a handful into my small hand, I shoved the skittles into my mouth, enjoying the sweet tasty flavors of the candy.

"I want some" Drew whinned, taking the box of candy out of my hand and putting some in his mouth as well.

"Aye. Eyes on the road mister" I snapped at him, snatching the box of candy back. I finished them off, and smiled. For once, I actually finished a box of candy without Drew taking the last bit. I mean he took some, but not all of them.

We pulled up into the driveway of our house. Ah, I missed home. I got out, and got our suitcases from the trunk. We wheeled them up, and rang the doorbell. When the door opened, my mom appeared with the biggest smile planted on her face. She looked at me, then Drew. When she saw Drew, she covered her mouth in shock, tears already streaming down her face as she screamed "my baby!" And ran to hug him. Drew stumbled back a little bit, but caught his balance and hugged her back.

They were hugging for about 3 minutes when my dad showed up and joined them. Well don't I feel special. I joined in, considering I felt like a loner, and let me just tell you. That was the best hug ever!

We all went inside to eat dinner. My mom was cooking her famous lasagne. That stuff was the best! It was so cheesy, and. Ughh! Our plates were already on the table, so all we needed to do was serve ourselfs. I got a big amount and slopped it onto my plate.

"Woah there. Are you sure your going to be able to eat that all?" Drew asked, eyeing my plate of lasagne. I flicked his nose then sat down. Hearing him scream an 'oww' only made me laugh.

Tonight was gonna be a good night.

I was bored in my room, when my phone rang. I picked it up, to see Tyler as the Caller ID

~ Phone Convo ~

P: Hello?

T: Page! Where are you? I have been searching everywhere

P: I went home..

There was a silence for quite a while, until he finally spoke.

T: Home home?

P: Yes

T: I'm going home too

P: What!? Why!?

T: Because I love you.

My heart sunk. I hate treating him like this. It's like I'm at war with myself.

P: I.. I love you too

Oh boy. What have I just gotten myself into?

About an hour later, the doorbell rang. Since I was the only one home, I opened it. Mom and Dad went on a date, Drew went to hang out with some girl that lives across the street.

When I opened it, my eyes looked up to see Tyler. He came up to me and hugged me for dear life. I hugged him back, never wanting to let go.

"Page will you be my girlfriend again?" He asks. I look up to him, with a big smile planted on my face. "Of course" I mutter, giving him a peck on the cheek.

I let him inside, and we cuddled up on the couch to watch a movie.
