Now you've been bad, and it goes on and on and on,
Til you come home, babe, til you come home
You taste bad, the poison I've learned to love is gone,
I'm all alone, baby, I'm all alone.

After her mom got a job in England, Alison Steele moved to Chicago to live with her father, where she met the mysterious, handsome, dangerous Harry Styles. Things were rocky at first when put together on a school project - Ali even going to great lengths to make him jealous by dating someone else, a squeaky-clean soccer player Niall Horan.
Despite being polar opposites, Ali and Harry's relationship fell into place, as they fell in love. Ali was very involved in Harry's life: such as becoming close with his very best friend Louis Tomlinson and mending broken ties with the Styles family.
Their happiness couldn't last forever, especially when Ali targeted by Zayn Malik, who was Niall's best friend. She'd kept the burning secret of Zayn slapping her from her boyfriend for two weeks. The truth was revealed during a world-rocking prom night, where the jealous ex Jess let it slip to Harry. Of course, Harry beat up Zayn that same night, unaware that Zayn was armed. Stunning everyone, Zayn had shot Harry, but thankfully, he survived.
Ali realized how truly different she and her boyfriend were, calling it quits on their relationship. She and Harry haven't spoken for months, and even as she heads into senior year, she still has him on her mind.

Summer.
Three months.
For this entire three months that are meant for barbecues and long days at the pool, I did absolutely nothing.
Well, I mean, I did things. But none of them truly broke me out of my numb shell.
My dad tried dragging me out of my room - shipping me off to England for the first two weeks in July to visit my mother. London was beautiful, though. My mom and I wandered through the streets, talking about nothing and everything.
We covered every topic but my love life.
I missed my mom as soon as I got back on the plane. She helped me forget about the one thing that's been eating at me.
Regina, Bree, Savannah, Drew, and Sam kept taking me out of the house all summer long. One evening spent at the Chicago Art Museum. One day hanging out at Drew's place. One very humiliating girls night out at a karaoke place - Regina forced me to sing the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way" with a overweight redheaded woman with peach fuzz.
Even though I'd occasionally have fun these times, nothing prepared me for when I got home.
I had taken down my "+" poster. It was easier that way, to store the memories in a protective case rather than dote on them. Listening to my favorite artist, Ed Sheeran, reminded me too much of spring. As much as I tried to forget, it was the best time of my life.
Harry Styles.
Some days passed when I didn't think of him, like when I was busy with my friends or with my dad, or even time in England. But things remind me of him.
Whenever I made lasagna I thought of the time - so long ago - where he and I made dinner for my father. Whenever I looked at my Nikon camera, I was reminded of that faithful photography project. Whenever I smelled cigarette smoke, it made me weak in the knees as the image of Harry's smoky lips molding to mine fluttered in my brain.
