But I cannot forget,

Refuse to regret,

So glad I met you and took my breath away,

Make every day with all of the pain that I've gone through.

The first thing I thought of when I arrived at school Tuesday morning was when I was going to hang out with Josh Devine again. Our coffee date went perfectly - not an awkward silence in place. He kissed my cheek when I dropped him off at Liam's, and I fleetingly wished he would've done more.

But then, Harry's threat replayed in my head: If he tries anything, give me a call. Did he honestly think Josh was dangerous? Or maybe he was just jealous?

I laughed to myself. Harry Styles, jealous. That's a new one.

I noticed Liam's blue Civic in the lot, which meant Josh was here already. I parked quickly and hopped out, sending him a quick Where are you? text.

He replied with: Hi, babe. Weight lifting room, with Liam. Come by. x

Weight lifting room? I wandered to the athletic part of the school, where the gym, sports equipment, and coach offices were held. Thankfully, the big, smelly room was pretty much empty except for Liam benching, his face beet red and the veins straining out of his muscular arms. He really was in good shape.

Josh was beside him, acting as his spotter. They both noticed me at the same time.

"Hi, princess." Josh had started calling me "princess" since our perfect coffee date yesterday. I melted every time he said it.

"Hi," I breathed, sitting beside him. He was sweating through his tank top, strands of his usually spiky hair plastered to his forehead. "Did you work out?"

"Yeah, I did." He leaned down, taking a swig of Gatorade while Liam carefully set the barbell down on its rack and wandered over to a pile of towels. "You missed it," he teased.

I laughed. "Wow, that's kind of hot, actually."

"Kind of?" Josh sniffed playfully.

"Oh, I mean, it's the hottest thing on earth."

He grinned, and leaned in to give me a peck. He paused. "Sorry. Shouldn't do that. You'll smell like damp man in first period."

I giggled. "I don't mind."

Josh's smile got bigger and his lips pressed against my temple. Surprisingly, his sweaty boy smell really was kind of hot.

Liam was watching us from the towel cabinet. "Josh, I don't mean to cut in, but we've all got to get going to the showers. Class starts soon."

Liam was scolding him like a father. Josh was fighting a smile. "Okay, Liam."

Liam went for the showers, and Josh turned to look at me. "I guess I should get going, love," he said apologetically. "Hang out again this afternoon? We can have a study date."

"Study date?" The last time I had a study date was back in Miami, when I was in a relationship with a boy who was way more obsessed with a perfect GPA than his own girlfriend. But it was only the second day into the school year, and I was already piled with homework. "That sounds nice."

"Perfect." He tipped my head up for a goodbye kiss on the cheek, but I stood on my toes and met his lips.

We held the kiss for a moment, my lips moving perfectly in sync with his, before he slowly pulled away. Josh's eyes were wide - he looked as stunned as I felt. He smiled a little, running his finger over my chin. "I'll see you this afternoon, princess."
