Author's Note ~ Hey! So, I couldn't find a song request that fit this chapter that well, but thanks to everyone who messaged me! It's really nice talking to my fans and getting to know them. I actually got into a deep conversation with several people as to why they shipped Hali or Jali! It's so interesting, wow, you guys are great. xx
So now I maybe lean back there,
I sat here wishing I was sober,
I know I'll never hold you like I used to.

My lower half was a little...squishier than usual Sunday morning. Groaning, I sat up, my stomach clenching uncomfortably.
Lovely. Mother Nature delivered her gift two days early.
I stumbled to my bathroom, fishing out a tampon and clean clothes for a shower. Screw whoever made these things up. I get it, I'm prepared for childbirth. I really don't need a monthly memo. Especially one that requires disgusting bleeding from my crotch.
After my long shower, I threw on my sweatpants I reserved especially for these few days of hell. They were Victoria's Secret Pink, and were still three sizes too big for me. I looped the drawstring five times for it to stay on my waist.
I was thankful for my father's usual store of ice cream in the freezer. Which movies should I watch to feel bad about myself?
In about four minutes, I got together my cheesiest chick-flicks: The Vow, The Lucky One, Pitch Perfect, Pride and Prejudice, The Last Song, Mean Girls. It was going to be one of those days.
As I was trying to think of which movie to watch first, Josh called me. I winced, stabbing the answer button. "Yeah?"
"Hey," he said quietly. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for falling asleep on you yesterday."
"That's okay."
"Good." Pause. "I can't hang out today though."
"Why's that?" I tried to keep the suspicion out of my tone.
"I'm, uh, busy. Homework. I can't."
"All day, Josh? It's not even ten yet."
"I gotta run, babe. I'll see you at school tomorrow, okay?"
"Fine," I said sourly.
"Don't get mad. Please? I'm so sorry." His voice made it sound truly sincere. He really did seem sorry for having too much homework.
"Uh, okay. I wasn't going to invite you over today anyways."
"Why not?"
So now he could ask the questions. I bit my lip. "I, uh...can't. I'm...cramping."
"Oh...oh. Ew." He laughed. "That's gross. Sucks to be a girl. Well, bye!"
As I stared at the dead line, I tried to ignore the pang of offense his laughing caused me. So what if I was on my period? He didn't have to laugh and hang up in my face. Grow up, I wanted to say.
An hour later, while I was curled up on my living room couch, crying during The Vow, my phone rang yet again. I sniffed, answering, "Hello?"
"Ali?" It was Harry. "You okay?"
"Yeah, just watching a sad movie. What do you want?"
"I'm at home, bored as fuck, thinking about you."
