Chapter 21- Game No. 2
Well after the whole confession stuff Lucas and I had, Katie and Aaron entered my room. Aaron and Katie 'handled' the kids while Lucas got me here. We all sat together, talked normal but I could feel Aaron glaring at me.

His eyes were practically yelling 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!' I'd have to answer him later. Then we all went to our rooms and slept because next day we had a match.

I woke up when Katie woke me up. I had a good sleep. I quickly changed into my basketball gear after the whole brushing and taking a shower thing. Katie was ready too so we jogged down for breakfast.

"Hey!" I greeted Aaron and Lucas on the breakfast table and the both replied back with heys. Surprisingly they were learning to live in each other's presence.

One hour after breakfast we were on the court doing warm ups. Today we have a game with Singnya High. They are what you call a rough team. They believe in injuring the opposite team so that they have forfeit the game. When we played for the first time, this is where we lost.

"Guys, these people play rough. Be careful." Coach guided and the match started.

Our playing five were Lucas, Aaron, Macy, Coary and I. Lucas took the jump start and tossed the ball to Aaron. Aaron dribbled his way through the defender but could not shoot the ball into the basket.

The other team's member got the ball. He dribbled but Lucas and Aaron surrounded him. So he smashed the ball on Aaron's knee. Aaron fell to the ground and that guy dribbled past him.

"Foul!" I yelled but the ref showed no signs.

Of course not. This is the way they play. They hit opponents in a way that can't be declared a foul. Just fucking perfect! Lucas helped Aaron back to the bench and another player took his place.

HALF TIME

After half time, the score was 24 us, 30 them. Three of our players were injured. Three of our best, Aaron, Rahul and Clarisse. At half time coach had some useful advice for us.

"We have never played rough kids but now we don't really have an option. Hit them as hard as you can." Coach said and we nodded.

I quickly let my hair flow down removing them from the bun. This time, I tied a messy braid that made my hair fall on my back. I could see Katie do the same. We all five Lucas, Katie, Coary, Micheal and I put the mouth guard on and jumped into Battle.

The ball was with me. As the guy came close to take the ball away, I swung my head with force causing my long braid to slap the guy's arm. He groaned in pain while I slipped the ball into the basket.

"Payback is a bitch." I smirked.

Coary took the ball and dribbled to our basket. When he got blocked, he passed to Lucas. The opposite team player was about to hit Lucas but instead Lucas shoved the ball into the opponent's stomach and he fell to the ground. Lucas smirked before scoring another basket.

The match ended soon and we won 34-30. We were all really happy because we won and Aaron and Clarisse were not having any major injuries. Couldn't say the same for Rahul though. After that we pretty much lazed around upto the evening, had dinner and then slept. Tomorrow is a free day again.

Nobody woke me up until lunch time. I was really glad. Even after waking up at like 2pm, I still felt tired, like wow. I woke up did the morning stuff and got down for lunch with the rest of the team. I wasn't really eating though.

"Princess, you aren't eating." Lucas whispered.

"I'm not hungry."

"Princess eat or else I'm telling Aaron about it." Lucas said.

"You can't! He'll freak out!"

"Then eat."

"Oh come on!" I groaned.

"Eat Princess because I'm gonna take you somewhere."

"What makes you think I'm coming?" I asked munching on the muffin.

"See agree and come with me or I'm dragging you anyways."

"Okay."

"You actually agreed?"

"Yea why?"

"I thought I was going to have to drag you." Lucas shrugged and I rolled my eyes.

"Katie, Aaron, I'm going with Lucas I'll be back later." I said and both of them nodded.

Wait, did Aaron just nod? Did he actually agree with me going with Lucas? I'm gonna have to ask him about all this later. We hired a taxi that dropped us in the middle of the road surrounded by a forest.

"I swear if you are going to kill me, you should know that I carry pepper spray and a pocket knife."

"You have an vivid imagination Princess." He laughed.

We walked into the forest until reaching a small clearing. And the view was amazing! The clearing was a small area where the trees acted as boundaries and the only ceiling was the sky.

"It's perfect!" I smiled.

"You liked it?" He smiled.

"Loved it! How did you find this place?"

"I used to stay here in this town before my brother died. He and I found this place." Lucas said.

Just like that we sat in the middle of nowhere with no range in our phones looking at the open sky and letting our minds rest. For the first time something felt so stress free and for the first time I had the sense of freedom.

We came back by evening as I told Aaron. After dinner which I was forced to eat, Aaron pulled me aside. I knew this was coming. I should have know my over possessive best friend.

"So what is wrong with you?" Aaron asked.

"Nothing really." I smiled.

"Oh quit it Em. I know something is wrong."

"Nothing."

"Is this about Parker not talking to you?"

"No! Everything is great."

"Great my ass. You wouldn't pass to Lucas, fainted in the middle of a match, fainted again at the house and now you are acting all weird. Of course something is wrong."

"Lucas got stitches on his arm two days before the game. I didn't want him to play but he wouldn't listen. When you and Katie weren't there, Lucas and I made out I don't know why, then Lucas remembered about Parker and walked out. Then Parker came in to apologize because he cheated on me with Summer too. But then I told him about Lucas and Me. Parker and I made out, Lucas saw us. Parker and Lucas fought. Lucas told me everything about his life and I told him about mine. That's what happened." I said all in one breath.

"Wait he cheated on you?!" Aaron growled.

"Oh come on! I did too."

"Em, it took you two years to tell me about you dad and you just told Lucas?"

"If felt right."

"It's okay Em, go to sleep we have a match tomorrow."

I nodded and went to sleep. Finals tomorrow......
