Chapter 18 Party and Going Home

Tonight was the night of Slughorn’s Christmas party, I got dressed in a red dress and black pumps, I walked down to Slughorn’s classroom and opened the door, here were people everywhere the room had Christmas decoration everywhere.

“ah Miss O’Brian good to see you made it did you bring a date?” Slughorn said

“He should be here soon” I smiled at him. I didn’t bring a date because I didn’t want too sometimes it’s good to go on your own.

“Wow Em you look great” someone said behind me, I turned and saw Harry standing there

“Thanks Harry, you look good too, have you seen Hermione?”

“She just went behind there” we looked at each other with a questionable look and we followed after her. “Mione what are you doing?”

“Getting away from Cormac”

“Cormac that’s who you invited”

“I thought he would annoy Ron the most”

“But Ron’s not even here” I stated

“Oh god here he comes”

“Go we’ll cover for you”

“Thank you” she said and ducked and ran away

“Slippery little minks your friend is,” he said “Emily is that you” he asked

“Yes”

“I wish I asked you to this party” he said

I rolled my eyes “Ew” I sated then walked away.

“Get your hands off of me” Draco snarled at Filch “I found this boy lurking around up stairs he said he was invited to your party” Filch said

“Fine Fine I was date crashing, happy”

“Actually he is with me, he was my date and I told him to meet me here” everyone gasped

“Fair enough let the boy go” Slughorn said

I put my around his and we walked away from the group, “What are you doing?”

“Just be grateful I helped you, now lets go dance and ignore everyone” I said and we walked the dance floor and I put one hand on his shoulder and the other in his cold hand, whilse he put his in my hand and his other on my waist. “You look very beautiful Emily”

“Thank you Draco”

“So are you still with that Durmstrang bloke?”

“Aiden, Yes, I love him very much”

“Well he is one lucky guy” Draco said

The party started to die down so Draco and I left; I followed him up to the astronomy tower.

“I know I can trust you I need to tell you something but I can’t tell you everything”

“Okay, I understand”

“I have to do something really bad to Dumbledore and if I don’t he will kill me” He said and started to cry, I took his hand into mine “I wish I could say it will be okay, but you and I know it won’t not until the end.” I said

“Can you tell me it will be oaky and like you mean it, I just need to hear it from someone” he said

I put my head on his shoulder and whispered “everything will be okay” I said

“Thank you, now its getting cold so go to bed before you catch a cold” he said.

“Goodnight Draco” I whispered

“Goodnight Emily, and thank you”

I walked down the stairs, tool off my heels and ran to Dumbledore’s office “Acid pop” I said and the gargoyle jumped aside and I ran up the stairs and banged on the door until it opened.

“Professor”

“Ah Miss O’Brian it is very late to be all dressed up for bed” Dumbledore said

“I know Professor I just came back from Professors Slughorn’s party”

“Well you look every nice, so what can I do for you,”

“I have some bad news Draco Malfoy just told me he has to do something to you and it is really bad” I sai d

“How did you get him to tell you this” Dumbledore asked

“I just showed him some kindness”

“Yes and I already know what he has to do, he has to kill me”

“What!”

“Emily we all have to do are part in this war even if it means giving up my life to save another” he said “I’m sorry but you cannot speak of this to anyone”

“I understand” I cried “Professor you did so much for me and I can’t even begin to thank you”

He got up and gave me a hug “Go to bed child”

“Thank you so much Professor for everything” I said and gave him one final hug

The time has come for Christmas holiday, we got on the train and we were on our way home. I sat with Seamus and Dean on the way home.

“Em you okay?” Seamus asked

“Yeah I’m just tired, and Aiden hasn’t written me saying if he was going to be a the train station”

“Its Aiden of course he will be there” Dean said

I looked out the window and before I know it I’m being shaken awake “Five more minutes” I whined

“You rather sleep than see me” His voice said

“Aiden” I jumped and pulled him into a hug

“Hey baby” he said and gave me a kiss, I have missed him so much, his touch his voice his lips. “I love you” he said

“I love you too” I said and gave him another kiss. We got off the train and said goodbye to everyone an d we got to his car, we put all of my stuff in the car and we drove to his house.
