Zoey's pov

"Don't you know what sleep is, Connor?" I ask, yawning as I lift my infant out of his crib. He continues to cry. I start to sing softly to him as I rock him back and forth in my arms.

His cries slowly start to fade. He stares up at me with his gorgeous green eyes, which were starting to droop.

"Give into your dark side, your dark side. I've seen the way you look at me, it feels right," I continue to sing. Connor stops trying to fight and lets his eyes close.

"I love you so much, baby. In nine months, you'll have a friend to play with," I say to the sleeping baby.

"I hope that you and Auntie Charlotte's baby are best friends. I also hope that me and daddy can fix things later. That's right. Mommy's going to see daddy while you stay here with Uncle Ashton and Aunt Bryana," I ramble, exhausted.

I smile to myself, then lay Connor back down in his crib. I make my way over to my bed and crawl back under the covers. Ashes and Percy curl up beside my stomach like they had before I got up. And in no time, I'm back asleep.

"Connor joust had his bottle so he shouldn't be hungry for a while. He'll probably need a diaper change not too long from now though," I list as I pass Connor over to Bryana.

"Chill Zoey. We got this. Now go make up with Peyton," Ashton instructs.

I nod, taking a deep breath, "Okay. But what if I can't? What if he turns out to actually be a jerk or something? What if he doesn't want to be with me anymore? What if he tries to take Connor away from me?"

Bryana passes my son over to Ashton, then grabs my shoulders.

"Zoey Noel Irwin listen to me right now. Peyton is a great guy. He is not going to take Connor away from you. He is not going to dump you. He is not a jerk. Almost one hundred percent of the time. Everyone has slip ups. Just take a deep breath. Everything is going to work out like it is supposed to. Got it?" Bryana asks, looking me in the eye.

I nod, feeling better. She grins and hugs me. I say goodbye to Ashton and Connor, then leave the house, walking towards the cafe because it was close by.

I was almost there when three ambulances went flying past me. A bad feeling appears in my gut. I shake it off. Or at least try to.

I pick up my pace, trying to see where the ambulances were going. Not too far.

I catch up to them in no time. There was a huge accident. Seven or eight police cars. And the three ambulances that went past me.

I stand on my tippy toes, trying to see what happened. A car rammed another one.

I gasp as realization hits me. Jenn's car was one of the two.

And the other one was Peyton's car.
