insane

impossible is the only word i can think of after hearing those words leave her mouth. what is she even saying? does she even hear herself?

"hey, if you're dealing with your own problems right now and want to use my 'getaway' to think, i'm game. but if you're just here to speak nonsense then i suggest you walk."

i am losing my patience. it decreases rapidly, probably faster than lightning, even.

"michael, face it. you've gone bonkers and i'm here to prove it all to you whether you like it or not."

"bullshit!" i shout, and the few people who are actually there, strolling, send glares my way as i have interrupted their peaceful evening.

there is no way i'm sitting here any longer. i get up, give her a look of disgust and walk away.

i fist the keys to my cheap apartment in the pockets of my hoodie, this time shoving the strangers walking around me on purpose.

"you can't run from me, michael. wherever you go, i'll be there." her voice continues to leave an annoying echo in my head.

i groan but don't stop walking, increasing my speed when her voice grows louder. i keep on looking down at my feet because every single time i look up, she stands there among the crowd.

"you're not running from me, michael. you know you're afraid."

          i know she's right.

          i'm going insane.
