Kiana Diggory
I sat in the green infested room I slept in. I glanced out my window to see my aunt Narcissa tending to her beautiful garden. A knock hit my door and I turned my attention to my cousin who was now entering. I sent him a small smile before returning my warm cup of tea to my lips. The cool, warm liquid slid down my throat.
"Fancy a game of Quidditch," Draco asked.
I looked out the window again and noticed the grey clouds.
"Or maybe not," Draco sighed.
He took the initiative to sit besides me on my bed and he chuckled.
"You're not so talkative these days," Draco said.
I frowned. Draco must've noticed my mood change and he frowned. As a protective cousin, he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and sighed.
"What's the matter," Draco asked.
"Haven't heard from my friends all summer, I feel like I'm trapped here," I admitted.
"Boy do I know how that feels," he mutters.
Draco pulled away, a smile on his face. Out of nowhere he pulled out a small, black book. He handed it to me.
"It's like a friend you can carry around," Draco said.
I hesitantly took the book from his hands and opened it to the first page. T.M Riddle
"Who's T.M. Riddle," I asked.
"Tom, he's like a friend, you write in the book about anything and I mean anything and he'll give you advice, how do you think I've survived living in this prison for so long," Draco chuckled.
I sent him a sincere smile and he rose from the bed. He held a hand out for me and I took it.
"Come on, the Elf prepared sweets for us," Draco said.
"I dislike the way you all treat Dobby," I frowned.
Draco stiffened.
"I know, but you know if Father," Draco began.
"I get it D, I really do," I sighed.
His father, the prejudice man. We walked downstairs and I saw Cedric with aunt Narcissa, a warm smile on his face. A wide smile that began to hurt my cheeks as I ran towards him and wrapped my arms around his waist. I haven't seen Cedric since the start of the summer. He went to travel with Hermione and her family. My 'parents' didn't want to leave me alone at home so aunt Narcissa agreed to let me stay.
"Pack your stuff, you're coming home," Cedric smiled.
I probably had the widest grin on my face. I noticed Draco's instant mood change.
"Don't worry Draco, we will see each other again," I smiled.
Draco sent me a small smile and stood besides his mother. Dobby came down with my trunk.
"Dobby, I could have done it myself," I frowned.
Dobby wore a frown on his face and I knew he was hiding something from me. His eyes glanced at the book in my hand and he gulped. Cedric took the trunk from Dobby and we used the fireplace to get back home.
"I missed you so much Cedric," I smiled.
"I need to visit the boys and tell them all about Hermione I'll be back for dinner," Cedric said hurriedly.
Cedric ran out the front door leaving me in this lonely home. I glanced down at the black notebook in my hands. It's like a friend you can carry around. I immediately ran up to my bedroom and grabbed ink and a quill. I flipped to the first page.
Hello.
Suddenly, new ink appeared.
Hello
Thus the start of our friendship began.
