"Seolhee!" Jungkook shouted with all his might, pedalling fast as he tried to catch up with Seolhee who had tears running down her eyes again. Jungkook was persistent in running after her even after she told him to go away.
It really wasn't the first time something like this happened.
"Seolhee, where are you going?" Jungkook shouted again, almost breathless because of the amount of energy he had wasted trying to accelerate further to keep up with her.
"I'm sick of feeling like this, I'm sick of life, I'm sick of everything and I'm most especially sick of you, Jungkook! Just stop!" Seolhee shouted back, her voice slowly fading as she gets further away from him, wanting to wipe her tears away from her eyes but she wanted to keep her balance stedy at the same time,
"Why are you being like this all of a sudden? You're heading towards a tree!" Jungkook shouted in caution and she noticed the old tree in front of her suddenly, making her gasp and abruptly stopped pedalling in response to his warning.
She put her right foot down and quickly got off the bike. The moment she got off it, she then realized that Jungkook turned out to be off his bike too. That's when he got a clearer view of what she looked like at this moment.
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion and stepped towaeds Seolhee, bringing his hand down to touch her face but she quickly stepped to the other side to walk away from him.
"Why are you so pale?" Jungkook curiously asked.
"Fuck off, Jungkook." Seolhee rolled his eyes at him, holding her bike tightly and guided it to head the way she wanted to walk off to. Jungkook was left flabbergasted by her sudden walkout as if it weren't the first time she has ever walked out on him.
"Wow, that was rude." He mindlessly muttered under his breath. "Seolhee wait, listen to me." He said, rushing towards her and held her wrist to stop her from going further.
She slowly turned him with her lips pressed in a tight line and her eyes lacking the gleam Jungkook has always seen in them. "What is it? I'm tired."
"Look, I said sorry to Jinshil. She accepted my apology and really, she told me to come to you. And now that I'm here with you, you're just going to walk own on me?" Jungkook wearily asked with a slightly sullen look on his face, ruffling his own hair in frustration.
Biting her lip, she asked, "So you didn't try to win her back? You didn't talk to her again?" Seolhee nervously asked in full anticipation, mixed feelings getting the best of her. "And then you followed her and went to me? What are you planning to do then?"
"Wait, you ask so many questions." Jungkook said, followed by a chuckle. "Firstly, I didn't win her back because things had already ended, Seolhee. That's what both of us should accept right now. I know, okay? I was an asshole to both of you and maybe I.. cheated on her. I didn't know I was capable of doing such a shameless thing, so I'm really sorry that I made you two upset."
"Even if it doesn't seem like it to you, you made me feel like the worst person in the world knowing that your simple walkouts, your electrifying glares, the tone of your voice every time I talk to you and everything else that you've done to get away from me are affecting me so much." His words of lamentation slowly made their way through Seolhee's head and she took time to digest every word he had said.
What is he saying?, she asked herself internally while her heart started to soften.
"What are you trying to tell me? So you're not really playing with me, or anything?" Seolhee's eyes furrowed in confusion.
