Ruin

Ruin never wanted to tell the demigods anything.

Ruin heard Leo's desperate pleas for his friend's help. Ruin responded, only for a moment, then his old friend's voice went out with a sizzle of sound. Ruin watched the camp explode from the window of the Nyxis.

He clutched his chest. In his last moments, Leo had wanted to hear his voice. Nowadays, Ruin only showed that side of him to Trial and occasionally Blaze.

He needed to protect his identity.

No. He thought. You need to be there for your Elites.

Ruin turned away from the camp. The flames were burning his eyes, and he was still a little dizzy from the initial explosion.

He turned his intercom on again.

"Has anyone seen Trial?"

No one responded. Blaze came on his private line. "The Renagade never took off. A good portion of our Elites are on the Bloody Baron with me. I know you care for her, but we have to get everyone to Camp Half Blood."

He agreed. "Shave, are the rescue missions a go?"

"... Ruin." Shave responded. "Look."

Ruin turned his attention back to the window, the camp's ground was shifting, like waves.

"Wha-"

The earth burst with sound, like a broom breaking in half. The noise shattered his eardrums. The Nyxis shook, the lights went on and off, and the ship tilted violently to the side. Elites tumbled up against each other helplessly.

The shock wave settled but Ruin could hear the wind beating against the side of the ship. The temperature dropped inside the jet, forcing the heaters in his suit to turn in remarkably fast.

The freezing air was coming from a mile wide crack in the ground. The darkness appeared to be seeping up into the air.

"Pull the jets up! Now!" Ruin barked over all comm systems.

"Shave! Evacuate the rescue squad, go straight to camp! Don't get caught going home."

The Bloody Baron jumped into the sky, leaving the Myxis not too far behind.

The two jets shot right over Long Island and into the ocean.

They modified themselves into submarines.

Meanwhile, Ruin, Bark, and Seeker got into an escape pod and flew it over camp half blood.

"Shouldn't we talk to them first? This will look incredibly bad."

"We can't wait." Ruin shouted over the sound of the missiles priming themselves.

Several demigods had woken up and taken arms on the ground below the jet. Arrows clan led against the metal.

Ruin punched the launch button and send the missiles flying at the gate leading into Camp Jupiter. The portal went up in a white haze of flames.
