Emma's P.O.V:
I awake wrapped in silk sheets on the comfiest mattress I've ever laid my back on. I breathe in deeply and sigh with a stupid smile. I allow myself exactly 5 seconds to remember the feeling of Killian Jones' lips against mine. After my wonderful 5 seconds are over, I kick myself for allowing them. I can't be thinking like this! What is wrong with me?! And besides, who could ever care for me...? I'm just a worthless excuse for a woman. I bet the only reason I have the job at the bar is because the Jones brothers feel bad for me. I bet inside, they are screaming for me to get the hell out of their lives.
Sitting up in the luxurious bed, I snap out of it, wiping stray tears off my face that I didn't notice had fallen. Suddenly, Killian bursts into the room holding a tray and waltzes over to me.
"What's this?" I asks him, suspiciously.
"It's an apology. I don't know what came over me yesterday. I'm so sorry I kissed you, I honestly had no intention of making you uncomfortable. So I was hoping... could we just start over?" Killian asks. I'm stunned. No one has ever cared to apologize to me about... well, anything. I've been assaulted a whole bunch of times in a thousand different ways, but not once has anyone ever apologized. I know Killian didn't really 'assault' me, but still.
"Of course we can." I stick out my arm and offer him my hand. "Emma Swan, pleasure to meet you. Now randomly give me job at your bar even though you know nothing about me please!"
"Killian Jones. Sure!" He says laughing and shaking my hand.
"Okay, so what's this apology," I ask, raising an eyebrow. I feel a little uncomfortable with him standing so close to me, but he gave me a whole bedroom to actually sleep in for Pete's sake. Killian sets the tray on my lap and I smile. On the tray is a plate full of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, pancakes, an assortment of fruit, and a glass of what appears to be freshly squeezed orange juice.
"Oh, Killian you really did't have to go to all this trouble. I've forgave you yesterday remember?"
"Aye, lass, but I had to make sure things were going to be okay between us." He looks so genuinely filled with concern that I almost laugh. No one has ever looked at me with concern before. At least I think it's concern. He looks kind of constipated actually.
"Are you okay?" I asks. He shakes his head, snapping out of it, and swallows.
"Of course love, why?"
"Because if you look at me any harder you're going to drill a hole in my head," I say, smirking.
"Just... relieved," he says. Good enough for me. I smile and dig in. Holly crap.
"Killian what the hell?!" I exclaim.
"What?! What did I do! What's wrong!!" He asks, looking so worried for no reason at all. I laugh hysterically. "What?!" Killian asks, completely confused.
"I said what the hell because this is the best food I've ever eaten! You didn't do anything," I say, unable to control my giggling. "And I was laughing because of your reaction! You were looking at me as if you'd just seen a ghost or an angel or something," I say grinning.
"Well I did see an angel, that's just not why I reacted the way I did," Killian says, smirking. For some absolutely ridiculous reason, I cast my eyes to the ground and blush fiercely.
"Come on then, love. Hurry up, I've still got to take you shopping remember? You work at a bar now, and while that little outfit of yours from last night suits you quite well, if I do say so myself, you do need more than one."
