The week before I left my family, my school and the place I grew up in, my mother insisted on throwing me a going-away party. She forced me to invite all my friends and class mates but i knew none of them would come.

On the day of the party She set up streamers hanging across the living room, made crackers and dip and hung up pictures of me, everywhere.

1/2 an hour past and no sign of my 'friends' anywhere. My parents had their 'I'm so sorry' faces on and just looked at me.

"Told you they wouldn't come." I sighed, I could feel tears build up in my eyes.

"Are you sure you told them the right time? Right address? Right day?" My dad said coming over to the couch trying to comfort me.

A tear forced its way out and dripped down my face making itself obvious.

"They're not, co-coming are they?" My mother stuttered coming and sitting on the other side of me.

I was never the most popular girl In school. My long, dead straight hair was never something that stood out and my style was, lets call it, original. As soon as I got to the stupid Public school I was already judged and no one wanted to hang around with the girl who the 'populars' didn't like.

The first two years of that school flew by luckily. Two years of sitting alone in the cafeteria wasn't the best way to spend it but somehow I got use to it. During the third year it wasn't just me sitting by myself, it soon became a fun thing to do to trip me over, throw things at me, 'bump' into me in the halls but by then I was sick of it. I remember the day clearly, it was the 18 of August and that was the day i grabbed the bitches leader by the hair and chopped a chunk out of the perfectly styled ponytail. I got suspended for a week and a half but It was totally worth seeing the look on everyone's faces.

The rest of school was the same as the first, no one would talk to me and the teachers avoided asking me questions and I pasted with a B+ average.

"I'm going to bed." I said sitting up and walking straight upstairs to my room.

I whipped my eyes with the sleeve of my hoddie and jumped straight into my bed. I looked down at my packed suitcase and my cat sniffing around at it.

"Tomorrow ill be a free person, Sid." I smiled to my cat, the only one who understood me. "Tomorrow."
