Chapter 16 "Surprise!"

I put the movie in the player and during the ads at the start I shut all the curtains and turned the kitchen light off. I sat back down next to Joey, grabbed my pizza and took a bite.

'Where's lover boy? Oh, I see. you were going to help him. well that's sweet. well its too bad you couldn't help your little friend. That little girl, what's her name again? Rue? yeah, well we killed her. And now were going to kill you too.' Clove said to Katniss, holding her at knife point.

'You killed her?' Thresh said to clove from behind her.

'No!' she said back to him.

'I heard you.'

'Cato!' she yelled out to her partner that was not around.

'You said her name!'

'Cato!!' she was desperate.

Thresh pushes Clive against cornucopia and smashes her. A canon is sounded, she is dead.

'Just this time 12! For Rue.' he turns to Katniss. he grabs the medicine bag and runs off.

"Uhh, my favourite part! Joey smiled after taking a sip of his tea. "Don't you just love this movie!"

"Yeah, it's good." I smiled.

"Just good? JUST GOOD!!!! No, it's not 'just good' it brilliant, its a work of freakin' art, it's like heaven as a movie and all you call it is good?" he rages at me.

"It's amazing," I winked to him. "Better?"

"Thank you." he smiled, looking back to the screen.

After the movie, the pizza and our tea is finished, we sit there on different ends of the couch on our phones.

"Oh yea, I have one more thing." he said leaning across the table to the little box then handing it to me. "for you."

I unwrapped the bow then took if the lid. it was a little box if butterfly shaped chocolates.

"Aww, they're so cute!" I smiled, leaning over to hug him. "Thank you."

"Well we should probably get going to the party now." he stood up, breaking this special moment.

"I need to change, ill be like 2 minutes!" I said jumping up too.

I ran up the steeps and to my room. I shut the door then threw off my large top and shorts and put on a little peach party dress. I undid my hair and let it flow naturally. I grabbed my flip flops and slid them on then ran back down the stairs.

"Shit. you look stunning." his jaw dropped and his eyes bulged.

"Naww, thanks." I blushed.

When we got to the house it seemed pretty quiet. We went up to the door and knocked a few times. there was no answer.

"Here, ill see if they're around the back, you wait here to see if it opens." Joey walked around the house then jumps over a fence. I pat down my dress and run my hands though my hair.

The door slowly opens and its Joey.

"Yeah, they were out the back." he grabbed my hand and lead me through the house to the back door. the curtains were closed. I flung open the curtains then shot open the door being stared at by about 15 people.

"SURPRISE!!!!"
