Chapter 20 - Joey

Sawyer and i stayed hugging for a good two minutes before Connor noticed me crying.

"What's up? the alcohol getting to ya?" he chucked.

"Just forget it Connor, she's not in the mood." Sawyer said back.

"Suit yourself bitch." he walked off gulping his drink.

"He's always like that when he's drunk don't take it personally." sawyer whispered to me. I pulled away from his hug and went to sit on the couch.

I lent back and rubbed my eyes with my wrist. I subtly looked to Joey and watched him laugh with everyone, a smile quickly took over but I stopped it before anything happened.

"Shae?" he interrupted my thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"Do you like LA?" he tilted his head looking at me.

"Yeah, a lot better then back home."

"So if you were offered to go anywhere else, you would say here?"

"You guys are my best friends, of course i'ld stay." I smiled looking at him In the eyes.

"Good, please don't leave."

Most people had gone home, the ones who were left were either drunk, sleeping or talking.

Kian and I were the only ones down stairs still and we were both leaning against the couch.

"Yeah, that's why I shouldn't have kissed you." he said fiddling with his teeshirt.

"She was your girlfriend?" I sighed.

"Uhuh."

"Oh." this is awkward.

"So now she thinks I'm a bitch?"

"I told her that you thought I was Connor and I was trying to stop you."

"So, she still thinks I'm a bitch?"

"Uh, well yeah."

"Joy." I held a thumb up half-heartedly.

Silence took over and we just sat there playing with our fingers.

"So I heard you like Joey" he looked to me smiling.

"Who told you?" I sighed.

"Connor, just before, he was so drunk." he chuckled.

"Dick, I really don't think I like him when he's drunk."

"No one does." he agreed.

"Joeys still here right?" I started to get uup

"Yeah, up stairs I tthink"

"I'm gonna go find him. hope you have a good night." I smiled and walked away.

I walked up the stairs and into the spare bedroom. sure enough Joey was lying in the bed.

"Hey." I whispered, shutting the door behind me.

"You're still here?" he turned over to look at me yawning.

"I thought you would have gone home with Sawyer, you two seemed to think he's 'sexy'." he turned back over. he's like a child.

"Joey," I sighed. "We both know I don't like him."

"You you sure think he's 'sexy'" he pouted.

"I like his abs, that's all. But..." I took a deep breath. "...I like all of you."

He turned back over to face me. "really?"

"Really." I smiled.

I walked over to the bed and he opened the covers welcoming me in. He was in only his Underwear again but I didn't mind. his body moulded to mine and he put his arms around my stomach.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" he whispered into my ear.

I turned my head and kissed him straight on the mouth.

"What do you think." I winked.
