I leaned back on the couch and sipped my drink when Maia taps on the window behind me.

She came through the door and I quickly hid the note in my back pocket. I stood up and hugged her.

"Omg! I love your Jersey!" I screeched. it was one that I was looking at for ages, it was Hurley and had a circle of animal print.

"Omg, I love your face." She winked. "Hold on ill order quickly."

I waited and lent back in the seat. will she actually tell me? should I tell her about the guy? Matt? or matty... ill call him matt for now.

"What you get?" I smiled as she sipped her drink.

"just a hot chocolate."

"so what did you want to tell me?" i grinned largly like i had no clue.

"well. straight up. joey." she sighed

"yeah? what about him?"

"you know how you two are 'together?-'"

"who told you?" i cut her off. was it me who told her?

"joey." again she sighed deeply.

" well the other day, at the party, joey followed me up to Connors room. we were both quite drunk and didnt know what was happening. lets just say this was before he asked you out and--"

"youre pregnant." i cut her off again. she gave a single nod then gulped her drink.

"youre tge only one ive told apart from joey by the way.."

"why me though? i mean were not the closest people ever.."

"well you deserce to know. youre his girlfriend and if i didnt tell you, later, things would have gotten horrible."

"well not anymore." that came out wrong. it probably sounded like i was blameing her, well honestly it was her fault."

"whats not anymore?" she tilted her head to the side like a confused puppy.

"joey and i, we decided to take a break while you sort it out."

"im so, so sorry." she cried. "this is all my fucking fault.

"no maia, dont beat yourself up over this." her eyes teared up.

"Shae. your boyfriend got me pregnant. how would you feel? i know you hate me right now but doing this isnt getting you anywhere." she stood up in an angry manner.

"im sorry?" man i was confuesd.

"why are you sorry Shae? youre always so self-conceded." she stormed out to the door then left.

Again, like in my room, i was left alone, another friend lost, just like that.

"hey, you okey?" matt smiled, sitting in the same chair maia was seconds ago.

"splended."
