I Apologise for The Slightly Sadder Turn of Events

I happen to really like Bastille.

When I see negative comments about something I like I never quite know how to feel. Like, I consider the person being right and actually feel invalidated in my liking of whatever they're talking about. It works the other way as well. If someone says something positive about something I like I then feel validated in my liking. I do usually reaffirm myself, saying it's not up to this anonymous person, but I'm also usually left with a heavy sense. There's just so much negativity and I wish people would at the very least justify themselves before leaving a pointless comment.
