Chapter 12:
Lea's POV:
A knock at the door sends Ash shooting in the air and screaming. I have to say though she isn't the only one who screamed. Let me say I forgot how oddly some of these people screamed.
"Shh!" Liam says.
Just about everybody is already off their seat and making there way to the door.
"Girls stay back we got this." Liam says pushing Ash and I over to the chairs again.
"No way!" Ash protests as another thing hits the door.
"How about this, Liam and I go sneak around to the front from the back and see what it is? You girls can stay here." Trent says.
"No way." This time it is me protesting. I am not letting my brother and maybe sorta kinda boyfriend? I don't know what to call him really. We haven't really talked about this. I'm busy ya know? But I am not letting them go alone.
"Fine. Two of us will go on the roof and cover the two on the ground." Liam says.
"Guys. We have Zombies at our door." Bex says from her spot on the couch .
Liam mutters something under his breath before looking at the four of us.
"Trent and I will go on the ground and you and Ash stay on the roof?" Liam announces. By now Trent is just getting everybody's guns and stuff ready to shoot of whatever's outside.
"Okay but if something bad happens I am coming to save you both." I say pointing to Liam and Trent.
"Deal." Liam shakes hands with me and grabs his gun off the side top of the couch.
"Hurry up guys." Bex says hugging onto her brother. By now at least the zombies have been walking around the house and hitting the house by not knowing, or by knowing.
Ash and I grab our weapons and make our way upstairs. We use Trent's assistance to get onto the roof and watch the boys.
You look around the place and all I see is memory's. Not a broken down part of an old city that everybody moved out of. Those old burned down houses used to have other stories of family and friendships. Having maybe more than one owner over the years of being used as a house. All of those owners have a back story and that makes it cooler.
"Dude look at this!" Ash shouts looking toward the edge of the house. A zombie child thing is just walking in circles holding a cat.
Bam!
Shot right through the head. The body is just laying on the ground as the cat runs away into a woods of some sort. So sad that a child would end up that way. With a brain infection and shot right through the head. But I guess this had to be done.
Soon enough though you see zombies falling in defeat, one by one by one.
The bushes move and you can tell its Trent and Liam. As they are facing one way, Ash starts shooting whatever tends to walk around behind them.
Everybody is shooting at anything that could be a threat. Just everyday life.
I keep shooting until something grabs me. I let out small shriek type thing as a try and fight back.
Ash's POV:
"They are like doubling!" Trent yells as more gun fire is shot.
I keep firing before I hear Lea shirk or something. As I turn around I see that a zombie has Lea.
I panic.
What do I do?!
Come on Ashley!
Shoot!
Bam.
I shoot the gun at what I think is the Zombie's head.
The bullet goes right past L's nose and hits the zombie right in the head.
I exhale and so does Lea. I just saved Lea's life. She could have been dead. But I saved her.
But I really needed to save myself.
Lea's POV:
As soon as Ash shoots that zombie away from me it's silence. The bullet went right past my nose and into the zombie. Let me say scariest day of my life.
A scream brings me to attention.
I look over to where Ash was and I see she isn't there. I carefully run over to the side of the roof and look down. Ash had fallen off the roof and Liam caught her.
Liam's POV:
I was shooting at random zombies and then I hear a scream. Ash fell off the roof.
Quickly, I put my mind into action and run up to catch her. She falls right into my arms. Giving me a quick glance and a smile she gives me a a thank you.
"All the zombies are mostly- oh." I got too lost in Ash's eyes to even notice that Trent came over here. More or less to let Ash down. Which I did.
"We need a plan"
