Chapter 18:
Ash's POV:
"Liam!" Someone screams waking me up.
A crash comes from upstairs and Liam bolts up loading his gun. He quickly runs upstairs and I follow him. Loading my gun on the run up the stairs.
A scream fills the air along with gunshots.
"Ash and Lea run away!" Trent screams across the loudness of everything around us.
Our house has been attacked by zombies. They somehow got in and now they are everywhere. Great.
This just ruined my night. And I guess not much could ruin it in a world like this but you get what I mean.
"Girls go!" Liam yells pushing us all to the door. Over all of this madness you can still hear him clearly.
"I'm not leaving you again!" Lea yells.
I shoot down a few more zombies as a sharp pain comes to my back. Quickly, I shoot some more zombies down.
This is so much confusion for me. Everything is happening in slo-motion as zombies and alive people are battling. It is just a big guessing game on who is going to make it out alive.
"Quickly run we have to go!" Reed yells running outside. Some people follow as others are still trying to get out of the house.
"Lea run!" I scream over the gun shots as she runs from the front door over to the car.
When everybody is in the car Liam steps on the gas. The car goes flying down the road as some z's try and catch up to us. Soon enough they are out of sight.
"Ash." Bex says. "Ash."
"What?" I turn to her.
She points to a new scar on my left shoulder. I don't know how I got it. It doesn't look like a normal scratch you would get from anywhere else.
"Ash. You have been bit. By a zombie." She says.
Looking to my shoulder I sigh. "Shoot me."
Bex looks at me confused. "No I cant."
"Shoot me" I demand.
"I cant." She says a tear almost running down her cheek. The whole car surprisingly hasn't caught on.
"Shoot me or I will shoot myself." I say through gritted teeth.
"What?!" Liam yells slamming on the breaks.
"I can't." Bex says wiping away a tear that rolled down her cheek.
"Trent shoot me!" I yell out. All eyes are on me now. Rolling down my sleeve I point out the Mark that is on my shoulder. Gasps fill the car. "Just shoot me." A gun shot is fired as pain goes through my head. He shot me. I'm dead.
Ash.
Ash.
Ash!
The room gets dark.
Liam's POV:
I wake up to no one. The bed next to me is empty.
"Ash?" I call out looking around the room.
Then I see her on the floor. A tear is down her cheek as her face is super pale.
"Ash." I say trying to shake her awake. "Ash." Nothing. "Ash!"
She jolts up almost smashing her forehead into mine.
"Oh my God." She says moving looking at her shoulder.
"It was just a dream." I tell her sitting next to her.
"We have to get out of here." Ash says standing up and gathering her things.
