We Are The Gummers (part one)

Broken

Don was finally get through to Meryl and she was beginning to feel better about what had happened but she still refused to forgive her self for what happened with Blake she was beginning to eat better too though she hasn't gain much wait still the stress was literally eating at her but Don was talking her through the things that where eating at her they would sit up and talk every night for at least two hours every night and Meryl got everything out withing a month an a half and was finally going and trying to get another part in a movie and someone called her and back and they wanted her for the part of Lindy Chamberlain in a cry in the dark and they where going to move to Australia for the filming and Don said she should take the part to get her mind off of everything and he said Acting was her out let for all the pain an suffering so Meryl took the part and they moved to Australia for the film and Mamie and Henry and Gracie where all excited about the move because they want the mom to be happier even Grace could tell something was wrong granite she didn't know what it was at the time but she would figure it out when she got older

when they got to Australia they already had a rental house that the production company was paying for during filming the kids had a tutor for school and Grace went on set with Meryl just about everyday and if she wasn't with Meryl she was with Don they had a system and if Meryl wasn't filming she was with the kids and Don Because Meryl wanted to spend as much time with the kids as possible her family was like her anchor to reality

"hey where did I put Gracie's gummy snacks " Meryl yelled she wasn't filming today and they where going to the zoo and Meryl was freaking out because she wanted everything to be perfect they happened been to a zoo since she was four months pregnant with Blake and she wanted the next Memory of them at the zoo to be happier not that the last one wasn't happy she just didn't like it because she was still Pregnant and Blake was still a perfectly health unborn child and everything was perfect

"yeah they are on the counter" Don yelled back

"ok" Meryl said walking to the kitchen counter and picking up the pack of gummies and putting them in the diaper bag

when they get to the zoo Meryl gets Grace out while Don gets the diaper bag and helps Mamie and Henry out of the car and they walk up to the ticket booth by the gate

"Hello how may I help you" a teenager says while chewing on a peace of gum like a cow chews its cud

"um we need tickets for two adults and two children and a two year old" Meryl answers on the verge of almost crying her voice cracked at the last word

"ok" the teen said as she handed them their tickets "have a nice day"

"you too" Meryl chocked "um excuse me I uh have to use the um restroom" Meryl said as her voice cracked she was on the verge of tears she told Don and the children she would be fine at the zoo but for some reason everything she looked at seemed to remind her of him and she couldn't take it anymore she ran to the family bathroom and when she reached it she sat down on the toilet lid and cried moments later she heard a faint knock on the door and them a soft little voice saying "mommy" it was Henry he always knew when something was wrong with his mother he was like that from birth when Meryl cried he cried when Meryl was upset he cried because he wanted her to be comforted and that's what he did best was comfort his mother

"what.. baby.. mommy will be out in a second...I'm almost done"Meryl sniffed

"let me in mommy" Henry said trying to open the locked door although he didn't want her oldest to see her so broken he opened for door to him

"you ok mommy I know everything here reminds you of Blake but he isn't here but we are so everything is still happy because you have us and you can always try to have another baby with daddy later on down the road but for right now God doesn't want to have anymore babies other than what you have know and we all love you all the same" Henry said as he walked over and hugged his mother he was a very bright 9 year old and he understood what upset his mother in anyway

"oh my baby boy what would I do without you my precious baby boy" Meryl said as she leaned down and gave her son a kiss "I love you no mater what you know that right" said as she wiped away her remaining tears and looked up to see Don with the kids he knew Meryl was crying but he knew his son had it under control so he stood back and watched his son console his wife
they walked out of the bathroom and Meryl walked up to Don and gave him a hug "we have such a sweet little boy for our son Don any girl that gets stuck with him is going to be so lucking

" know because he has you for a mother" Don whispered back

"I love you" Meryl sighed happily

"I love you too my princess" Don said happily as they broke the hug and walked on to enjoy their day at the zoo Don stayed back a bit to watch his wife and children walk on ahead of him he thought about how their life changed in the past year and he thought of all the pain and all the joy the endured her smiled and shed a tear and he felt it go all the way down his face and fall off his chin like the memory of all the pain fading away he knew it would take Meryl a while to not think of him with everything she did but he knew he would be there for her every step of the way and he would go through it with her "through sickness and health for richer and for poorer till death do us part" whispered to himself

"Don honey are you coming" Meryl called after him

"Uh yeah give me a sec" he called back as he ran to catch up to them
