   (Y/N) looked down at her phone again as she walked along.
Heu!'! I'n honeewee!!!'mmmmm
   She sighed sadly. Recieving a message like that from her mother meant she was drunk, at her house, and wanted her to come home. This happened at least every other week... (Y/N) was used to it, and she would be okay with it if it weren't for her mom's boyfriend. He was fine most times, but when he was drunk....
(Y/N) made her way home and opened the door quietly. As soon as she stepped in...
"Heyyyyyyyy! (Y/N) mah litl' *hick* behbeh...," (Y/N)'s mother said, leaning on her daughter and putting her entire weight on her. "H-hi mom..." (Y/N) carried her mother over to the couch. She was used to it. She was average size, but her mom was shorter than she was.
After being set down, her mother looked up at (Y/N) with a sad expression. "Awwww.... Stahp be'in so shyyy....*hick*"
A crash was heard from the other room. "Hey!! Is there anymore beer in here?" A tall man staggered out of the kitchen. He looked up at the two people in the living room.
"Hey, (Y/N)! Ya got anymore alcohol in this house?" (Y/N) let out a sigh. "No... Besides, you shouldn't be drinking anymore..." She stopped as the man approached her.
He towered over her. "You shouldn't tell me what I can and can't do." She shook her head. "N-no, I wasn't doing that I was just..." She was interupted with a smack to the face. "Don't talk back to me!"
It was like this everytime... She would try to help, but it would go no where. She wimpered as she was hit again.
Tears built up in her eyes. She couldn't handle anymore of it. She ran out her house. She heard her mom call after her, "Noooo! (Y/N) come *hick* baaaaack!!!!"
She didn't turn back. She ran until she was far away. It was only about 5 in the afternoon... She couldn't stay at her own house... She knew they would be gone the next day... But where would she go now...? She decided to go to the only other house she knew...
~~~Time Skip~~~
There was a knock at the door. "I got it," Matthew said as he stood from the couch. He went to the door and opened it. Standing there was (Y/N). She was crying and had a large red mark on her face.
"Eh! (Y-Y/N)! W-what happened!" He let her into the house. Alfred, who overheard the commotion, rushed into the room. He saw (Y/N) and ran to her side. "What happened!?" He asked.
   The brothers led her into the living room. They sat on the couch and she wiped the tears from her eyes. "A-are you ok?" Matthew asked. (Y/N) took a deep breath. "Y-yeah, I-I'm okay...," she said with a shaky voice. "What happened?" Alfred asked.
   (Y/N) shook her head, refusing to talk. Matthew and Alfred looked at her with concern. "Please (Y/N)," Matthew said. "We want to help you...," Alfred continued.
   (Y/N) really did not feel like telling them what had happened, but she knew they wanted to help her... She would have to say something, but she did not want them to worry about her...  She did not want to lie... So she would stretch the truth.
   "A-a man attacked me..."
   "Who attacked you?" Matthew asked.
   "I-I couldn't say..." Her mother's boyfriend was a stranger when he was drunk...
   "Where did this happen?" Alfred asked.
   "I don't really know..." Her own house was a strange place when it was in the state it was in...
   She wasn't sure how she was going to explain the last part...
   "A-all I know is that it was near where I live, and I-I'm... I'm too s-scared to go home now..."
   The two brothers looked at each other. They were both thinking the same thing. Why would that make her not want to go home?  This story seems a bit off... But she came to us for help... So we should help her...
   "We have a spare bedroom, if you'd rather stay here," Alfred suggested.
   "Really?" She said, "Y-you'd let me stay?"
   They both nodded. "Of course. You're obviously not okay," Matthew said, "we can't just do nothing aboot it. We said we'd help you and we meant it."
   (Y/N) smiled shyly and looked down. "T-thank you... Both of you..."
   Alfred put a hand on her shoulder. "Is there anything else you need or want?"
(Y/N) shook her head. "Y-You've both already done a lot for me. I-I wouldn't want to trouble you any more than I already have..."
   "You're not troubling us... We want to help you," Matthew said. (Y/N) looked down timidly. "W-well... I guess some extra clothes would be nice... I-I'd rather not have to sleep in my school uniform..."
   Matthew stood and said, "Sure. We should have some clothes around here that would fit you, eh." He left the room to search for clothes.
   Alfred looked over at (Y/N). He saw her sad expression. "You sure you okay, dudette?" (Y/N) tilted her head down. "Y-yeah I'm f-fine...," she muttered.
   He felt bad. He could tell she was not okay. He wanted to help her, but he knew she wasn't telling the whole truth.  He sighed. (Y/N) heard him and looked at him. "What is it?" She asked
   He looked at her and put his hands on both of her shoulders to turn her towards him. "(Y/N)," he said seriously.
   "Y-yeah...?"
   "You don't have to be shy around us. We won't hurt you. We want to help you..."
   She looked to the side, not wanting to make eye contact with him. She was afraid if she would she would break into tears again.
   Finally, she looked at him. She saw genuine concern in his eyes. She knew Matthew felt the same way. She sighed. "A-alright...," she said, "I-I'll tell you guys...But you both have to promise me something."
   He stared at her. "What is it?"
   "Don't tell anybody. Don't worry too much. And definitely do not try to interfere..."
