A white blanket covered the town. It was the day of the winter carnival. Everyone had been waiting for this day, but no one could be as excited as Alfred and Matthew were. They could not wait to show (Y/N) all the joy the winter carnival had to offer.

"Dude! DUDE! This is gonna be so awesome!!" Alfred exclaimed as he bounced up and down on the couch. The brothers were waiting for (Y/N) to get ready.

Matthew, who was very good at tolerating Alfred shaking the couch HE was also sitting on, smiled and said, "Yeah, eh. I can't wait. I hope this makes (Y/N) happy."

Alfred jumped up off the couch (Matthew quietly letting out a sigh of relief) and gave a thumbs up. "Of course she'll be happy! We promised her! Heros and their sidekicks can NOT break their promises!"

Matthew slightly chucked at his brother's words. He surely hoped (Y/N) would be happy. No I shouldn't be thinking like that. Alfred's right, we promised to make her happy... And we should never go against our promises.

"O-okay I'm ready." The two brothers turned to see (Y/N) walking down the stairs. She had put on a heavy (F/C) sweatshirt, with a bunch of layers beneath it, warm, thick leggings, and knee high boots. She also had gloves, a scarf, and fuzzy earmuffs to go with her outfit. Alfred and Matthew both thought she looked adorable all bundled up.

They both just stared at her for a while. When she noticed their eyes locked on her, her face became red. "Wh-what? What is it? I-Is something wrong?" She looked over herself to try to find what they were staring at.

They snapped out of their trance and looked at each other. "I-It's nothing (Y/N)... Just... You... Look really cute...." Matthew said shyly.

(Y/N) became flustered, her face turning even more red then before. "O-o-oh... Uh... T-th-thank you..." She stuttered.

"Come on! Let's go! We wanna have enough time to do everything!" Alfred practically pushed the others out the door and into the car. He then got into the driver's seat, and off they went.

(Y/N) hadn't been quite sure what to expect, she was scared it would be really crowed and loud and that she would get lost and never find her way out until it was night, then she would get lost trying to find her way home and she would be robbed or kidnapped or killed... (Y/N) was a very paranoid person.

But when she got there she found she had nothing to worry about. The carnival was located in city park, there were booths lined down the pathway, games were set up in the open areas, beautiful snow sculptures were built all around the park, the lake was frozen over, and not too far off a carousel and a ferris wheel could be seen. (Y/N) could not see many people, so she was relieved.

"This is it!" Alfred exclaimed joyfully. "There aren't many people here now," Matthew began. Alfred completed his statement, "But that's because they all come in about an hour when it starts to get dark!" Matthew smiled as he said, "And that's the best time of the festival."

"Uh... How many people usually come around that time?" (Y/N) asked nervously. "Oh! Pretty much the whole town will be here!" Alfred said gleefully.

(Y/N)'s expression fell. She was not a fan large crowds. She was not looking forward to that.

Matthew noticed her expression change. "I-Is something wrong (Y/N)?" He asked with concern.
