 More psychological facts about music:

Researchers in Colorado found that stroke patients who were given rhythmic auditory stimulation a half hour a day for three weeks had improved cadence, stride, and foot placement compared with a control group.

Studies also show that the more music you listen to, the less stress you have, regardless of what genre it is. Research has shown that music with a strong beat can stimulate brainwaves to resonate in sync with the beat, with faster beats bringing sharper concentration and more alert thinking, and a slower tempo promoting a calm, meditative state.Music can also be used to bring a more positive state of mind, helping to keep depression and anxiety at bay.

Studies have found that elementary students who received daily music instruction had fewer absences than other students.
