I'm Not A Weakling

Chapter 3

   It has been a week since Lucy left the guild. Everyone weren't themselves. Cana stopped drinking, Gray stopped stripping, Erza wasn't eating cake, Elfman wasn't saying anything manly, and Natsu stopped smiling. Gajeel was comforting Levy, and Laxus with Mira. Juvia made it rain all week since she left, and Lisanna locked herself up who-knows-where. It's like Lucy was the light and happiness of the guild, and took it all away when she left. Makarov looked around the guild. Please Lucy, the guild isn't complete without you.

Lucy

     I was walking towards the forest to start my training. I wonder why she wants me to meet her here?

Flashback

     It was a few days after I left the guild. I was at the market buying some food, when a hooded lady came up to me and asked,"Are you Lucy Heartfilia?"

  "Who are you?" I started to get defensive.

     "I'm looking for her. She's my friend's, Layla Heartfilia, daughter."

"Show me your face." I demanded, still suspicious of the lady. She lifts her head, revealing a middle-aged woman with pale, almost translucent-like skin, and shimmering midnight blue eyes. She didn't look like she was looking for a fight. "You knew my mama?" I asked.

"Yes child. She is a wonderful celestial mage; was really when she had all 12 of the zodiac keys. I'm here to tell you the truth of your mother's so-called 'death'."

  My mother's alive? "Also," she said, bringing me back from my thoughts. "you would like to get stronger, do you?"

"Hai. I do." I was surprised that she knew. "Good, meet me at the edge of the forest. Then, I'll take you there."

     " Arigato, uh..."

"Call me Celestia." She walks away and merges with the crowd.

Flashback Ends

     I waited for Celestia so we can start the training. Suddenly, I heard a rustle in the bushes. I readied my whip and keys, only to be relieved to see that it was Celestia.

     "I'm sorry if I frightened you, child."

     "It's okay, Celestia-san." She nodded at me.

     "Are you ready to go?" I nodded back at her. She smiled at me then turned her back on me. "Open Portal: Dragon Realm! " A portal opened before us. Wait, did she say Dragon Realm? Before I could ask her, she grabbed my wrist and we jumped into the portal.

     When we got to the Dragon Realm, the first thing I saw was a red fire dragon. I got scared and hid behind Celestia. "Is this the princess?" He bellowed.

     Why is he so familiar? Then, realization hit me. No way...it can't be...
    
    "Igneel, is that you?" I asked. Igneel gave me a look of surprise. "How could you tell? I've only visited you once when you were still a little toddler."

     "Your son, Natsu." I replied. "He said so much about you. He was a friend of mine." Then he looked at me with confusion.

      "Was?" I nodded.

     "I guess you could say 'was'. Until he called me weak and kicked me out of the team."

Igneel

     "Until he called me weak and kicked me out of the team." Natsu did this to the princess.

     I felt rage boiling up in me, until Celestia told me telepathically, "I saw what happened. It's not his fault."

      "Then whose fault is it then?"

     "Some girl named Lisanna Strauss. No need to punish her, Natsu gave her a pretty bad burn." Heh. That's my son alright, but he could be dense at times.

     "Um, Igneel?" Lucy asked.

     "Yes, princess?"

     "See, you just called me princess, again. Is there something I should know?" Well, it's time to tell her the truth.

     "Get on my back. The queen will tell you." The princess got on my back reluctantly. I spread my wings and flew towards the castle up ahead.

Lucy

     My head was spinning with so many questions. Hime? How does Celestia know my mother? I thought dragons disappeared from Earthland on July 7, X777.

     When we got to the castle, Igneel turned into his human form. He had pink—I mean salmon-red hair—with onyx eyes, and wearing a casual blazer and denim jeans. l smiled to myself. He looks just like Natsu, except more mature. Wait what? Stop it! He called you weak, he kicked you off the team. You got to prove him and the guild wrong!

     "My liege, the princess has returned." Igneel bowed. I looked up with wide eyes.

    "Lucy, it's been a while." The lady in front of me smiled warmly down on me.

     Mama... I started to cry.
