I'm Not A Weakling

Chapter 19

Lucy

        As I got back in control, I started to chant my demon banishment incantation. A golden magic circle appeared beneath me as I closed my eyes.

By the light of the moon's wane,

Cleanse my soul of this stain.

Let the spell be reversed,

Lift away this dark curse.

As I am in sacred space,

Return my soul to Grace.

By the dark and the light,

This curse in me ends tonight!

I banish the demon within me, Akuma!

        I plunged the cursed sword through my chest, directly through my heart. I can hear Natsu calling my name and everyone trying to break through the barrier I put up. I started to cough up blood.

      "Lucy!"

      Mavis-nee,

       "Why Lucy? Y-You promised that you wouldn't use that spell! You said you wouldn't leave me!" I hear her crying and banging her fists on the barrier. I turned my head and gave them a grin before I coughed up even more blood and the black mist. The black mist took form into the demon I knew.

         She had black scales on her cheek, forehead, arms, and legs. She had blood-crimson eyes with black hair with red tips at the end. She had pure black wings and horn and was wearing a revealing black corset.

        She was wounded and was clutching her chest. "You stupid bitch. You're going to die and I'll live." She said raggedly.

       "N-Not if I could help it!" I stammered. I took my sword from my chest and slashed her hand and heart. As the blade went through her, Akuma coughed up black blood and turned into ashes.

        It's finally over. The magic circle beneath me disappears, and I fell down as my barrier faded away. "Lucy!" I hear everyone rushing over to me. I was lying on my back, holding my chest.

         "Lucy," I hear Natsu next to me and holds me. "Why did you do this?" I told them with a ragged breath, " I-If I didn't, A-Akuma would've killed e-everyone."

          "Lucy, we could've found another way!" Natsu was screaming at me, on the verge of tears.  "You saw. D-Dragon's Death Venom d-didn't work. How would've it took for you t-to find another way? How many people will she h-have killed?" Blood was trickling down the corner of my mouth.

        "Lucy," I turned towards Mavis-nee. She was crying. "Why? Y-You promised me that you w-wouldn't use that spell ever! M-Mama doesn't know about this! What am I supposed to tell her?!" She collapsed and sobbed in my chest. I didn't blame her for acting this way.  I hugged her close and everyone around me was in tears.

       "Lushy!" Happy flew to me and gave me a hug. "Don't leave me! Don't leave Fairy Tail or the entire world of Fiore!" I couldn't promise him that, so I stroked his head.

         "Lucy-san!" I turned over to a crying Lector. "Sabertooth will remember you always as the Princess of Sabertooth!"

        "Fro t-thinks so too!" Fro smiled while he cried.

        I smiled at them and turned to Natsu. I used my free hand to reach for his cheek. I cupped his cheek and wiped off any falling tears with my thumb.

       "Natsu," I said. "I promised you that I w-would come back and I intend to keep it. N-no matter what, I will see y-you again. Take care of the guild." I lean forward and gave him a goodbye kiss.

      We parted and I fell back. I last thing I saw a crying Natsu.

     "I love you." My last words fade away with my vision and breath.

Lucy is dead!! Fairy Tail and Sabertooth will be heartbroken!
