This was the fifth time I had gone to LA. It had now officially become the place I had visited most outside of the UK and that was so crazy to think about when I hadn't even been to the US two years ago.

Luke had been unable to pick us up at the airport but I didn't mind because I remembered the last time he did and that had somehow attracted paparazzi. This time it had just been meeting a handful of viewers in the arrival hall and then our foursome was out of the airport and in the car Luke had scheduled to pick us up.

"This is so exciting," Emma said loudly. She was already in a pre-Coachella outfit with tassels. She had been visible cold on the flight but refused to admit it. Thankfully, Megan had pulled out an extra hoodie and a pair of sweatpants from her bag and tossed them to her girlfriend without a word.

I sometimes wondered if Emma and I were very similar at our core, despite our obvious superficial differences, when Megan did something that reminded me so much of a situation Nate and I had previously had.

The car was big and luxurious with an inbuilt bar with cold drinks. Emma and Nate both had out their vlogging cameras in turns talking loudly and being very excited. They saw Coachella as a dream thing and though I didn't share their excitement, I loved seeing them happy.

"Quite a pair the two of them, huh?" Megan said and scooted closer to me. The back of the car was huge and though it wasn't officially a limo we could still move around among the many free seats. I preferred to stay in one seat though with my seat belt on.

"I know," I chuckled and pulled out my camera to snap a shot of them. They were too preoccupied to even notice but that usually meant the photos turned out even better.

"If it gets too much, we'll just switch up and you and I will partner up and those two can go have a Coachella party."

"You're not too keen either?" I asked and suddenly felt terrible I had potentially dragged my friend along to something she didn't feel like. When I thought about it, Megan actually would prefer to stay inside on her laptop. She was one of the only people I knew who thought the British summers actually got too hot.

She shrugged. "What we do for the one we love, you know? Besides, I would be a fool to pass up the opportunity. I pulled up some photos of the house Luke has rented for us and it's incredible. Want to see?"

Eventually, Emma and Nate calmed down a bit though Emma had already started drinking. She better hope she wasn't going to be stopped on the street for underage drinking.

"It's only two drinks, Abbey," Emma said when she saw the look I got her. "I'm just in a good mood you know. It's so good to be back in LA!"

I didn't need to tell her why I disliked her drinking so much. She saw it in my eyes and subsequently put her drink down and picked up a water bottle instead. We would be with Luke soon and one of his sisters showing up tipsy wouldn't be nice for an old almost alcoholic.

I snuggled up next to Nate in the big seats, as this drive was taking forever, and looked at him effortlessly editing his latest daily vlog. He did it so much by routine and it always took me so, so long to edit anything but I had found that just by observing him, I picked up on tips and tricks.

"You know the offer for a private tutoring in editing still stands, milady," Nate teased, speaking while his headphones were still in. The smirk that played on his lips suggested to me that editing tips translated to something different.

"We're almost here, you can see it up the hill now," the driver informed us and the three of us girls all stuck to the window. They were tinted but when Emma rolled them down the sight before us was magical.
