It had been so many months ago when Emma had called me excitedly and she had only been able to squeal when I asked her what she was calling about. It wasn't entirely uncommon for her to call me up all out of sense with either joy or despair. I was always the first person she called whenever something happened and I had always been so proud of that and it made me feel soft and loved.

I knew as her and Megan's relationship grew closer and closer, I would probably be replaced as her go-to person. However, I knew Megan extremely well and I didn't have any qualms about sidestepping for the loud Tumblr girl, who was a dear friend of mine. Nate had already sort of pushed out Emma from her spot as mine. It had happened so gradually and whenever I thought about it, my heart would tremble a tiny bit. I had never thought I'd feel that comfortable and depend on someone, who wasn't family but Nate had made it all feel so easy.

"Emma, take a deep breath and talk in actual sentences instead of high-pitched screaks," I said laughing because I had already determined that this was one of the good calls. She was absolutely overly excited about something and she had to tell me immediately instead of waiting until we would see each other later in tonight.

She let out the highest screech yet but then I heard her take deep breaths. I had no clue what had sent her of the rails like that but it had to be good.

"Abbey!" she yelled and I moved my ear away from the phone. "I just got amazing news. This is so cool... All the training I did – I can actually use it for something. It's like combining the two things that I... I mean they asked for me! And for you! Which just makes it all the more incredible and perfect! It's so damn cool, Abbey!"

"Whoa, you're not making a whole lot of sense here, Ems," I told her, grinning from ear to ear because whatever it was just the prospect had got my sister so excited and my loved ones being happy was one of my favourite things.

"Sorry! I'm just so excited! You know Dolce & Gabbana, right? I know you're not very fashion aware but..."

"Err, I do know the name," I interrupted. "It's high-end and expensive. I wouldn't recognise their clothes on sight though, like I'm sure you would. Still, I'm not a completely oblivious."

"Right, well they're doing a Fashion Show in January next year of Men and Women's Fashion. It's in Milan, right?"

"Right?" I played along but for the first time I felt uneasy.

Emma had been assigned to a modelling agency for the first year after we had moved from Brighton to London. I had started university and she'd gotten an internship and worked with a small but respectable London based model agency. She'd been dreaming of becoming a model but slowly her dream had shifted after she got into making YouTube videos and got enough of an audience to start making a bit of money. Our mother had been very pleased that she'd gotten "out" of that world, even if she didn't understand what exactly making YouTube videos entailed. I wasn't sure she was entirely sure what it was even after Emma had been doing it for two years.

"Well, they're focussing on millennial this year and they're inviting loads of social media influencers, I managed to pry a few names out of my friend from my old agency but I promised not to tell anyone. I'll tell you though but maybe not over the phone while I'm out in public," Emma said and sounded a bit on edge and she made her voice serious and it wasn't a big leap for me to imagine where her thoughts had gone.

"You're not a secret agent, Emma."

"Shush, you buzz kill. Either way, they're inviting a lot of social media people and I still have some of the network I made in the modelling world and I got wind of something awesome. You remember that Lookbook that we did for my channel this summer?"
