Jess POV;
We were all packed up and ready to fly home, our flight was first thing tomorrow morning at around 4am, I was exhausted with how coming on this tour had ruined me more than being back home when everything happened with Jack, I'd text Sam and Colby and I'd be meeting up with them some time when we got home too. Going home and seeing Sam and Colby and everything being okay again just seemed too good to be true and I wasn't looking forward to whatever the hell was lurking around the corner ready to take me by surprise.
We'd stopped off in a hotel just around the corner to the airport, for once I actually felt safe, some attack that happened a few months back had made security better around London and police were lingering around and standing on guard of the hotel doors, questioning and even searching people on the odd occasion.
"Get an early night tonight okay Jess." Said Joe, smoothing my hair down and smiling.
"I'll try." I sighed, I actually was going to try for once.
"I'm only going to be next door, Meagan insisted on sharing a room with you and Patrick'll also be in here, you'll be safe."
"Are you sure?" I asked, just to mainly making sure. I felt kinda sure but hearing someone else being confident about being sure makes me feel 5x better.
"I'm sure." And for once Joe sounded sure.
"Okay." I took a deep breath. "Goodnight Joe Hoe."
"Goodnight Jess the Cat." He laughed, before turning round and leaving my room, giving me a little wave before closing the door lightly.
"I'm going to go bed now." I told Meagan, who was sat on the chair on the other side of the room.
"Okay, goodnight." She smiled, tearing her eyes away from the window. I picked my phone up, reading the time off the screen which read 9:54pm.
I made my way to the bathroom, flicking the light switch on, triggering the little bathroom fan to start humming lightly.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror, sighing. My hair was so messy and my figure was so off-putting.
I picked up my purple toothbrush, squeezing toothpaste onto the tiny colourful bristles.
I washed my face, peed and blah blah blah as you do in the bathroom.
I made my way back into the main room, pulling the duvet back and curling up in bed, falling asleep more or less straight away due to the lack of sleep I'd been having the past few weeks.
---
"Wake up sleepy head." I felt someone rocking my body backwards and forwards lightly and whispering in my ear.
I groaned, stretching my arms out and accidentally punching the headboard, opening my eyes and closing them again due to the light in the room.
"It's 2am, our flight is at 4, we gotta get up." Says Patrick quietly.
I make my way out of bed, yawning and rubbing my eyes. I made my way into the shower and did everything I had to do.
All my bags were packed as we'd only slept in this hotel last night so we could leave straight away to get to the airport, check in and get on our flight back home. I was worried about going home due to the amount of questions my parents were going to ask and it's just a matter of time until they find out about everything that's gone on over here in the UK and the night of the party a few months back.
After I was ready to leave the room, me Patrick and Meagan made our way down to the lobby, giving the room key back to the receptionist.
The others were down in the lobby already and we just set off as soon as we gave the key back.
---
By the time we found our seats and sat down on the plane, I was completely worn out. I'd seen God knows how many 'Wanted' signs and TV reports for Jack, making me anxious by the fact that he's still out there and nobody knows where. I should be reassured by the amount of people searching for him but I know him better than anyone, he's clever and he'll find a way to not get found.
I laid my head back on the seat and looked out the window, it had started to drizzle and little raindrops were on my window, I was gonna miss rainy England but also wasn't.
I sighed, fixing my earbuds into my ears before pressing play to one of my latest favourite songs 'Invisible', it was how I felt inside and honestly represented my mood the past few weeks so well.
A low rumbling started as the plane began to take off, I leaned back in my seat even more, holding onto the side.
I hadn't noticed how hard I was gripping onto the chair until we were fully in the clouds, that's when I noticed how pale my knuckles were from holding onto the seat.
The rest of the flight consisted of me watching film after film... Okay I watched all of the shrek films, so?
