After lunch was over, I walked around during passing time to look for Jacob, but he was nowhere to be found. I don't have anymore classes with him so I can't expect to see him there. I went to his locker, but no one was there. I even asked a few people have they seen a guy with a big, curly afro but they all said no.

Now I'm worried.

I've read a lot of stories where people who were being bullied ran somewhere and started cutting them self. I just hope he's not that kind of guy.

"Okay class. As you all know homecoming is coming up and the pep rally is in a few days. " Our teacher started.

"Ugh.." Elizabeth grunted.

"Is there a problem Ms. Barnett?" The teachers asked. Even Elizabeth's last name sounds as stuck up as she is.

"We do these lame pep rally's every year. Nothing fun ever happens. " Elizabeth said.

"What do you mean? Students actually look forward to these school events. And besides, it's free. "

"Money isn't an issue. Trust me. " Elizabeth smiled.

Show off.

"I just don't see what's the point of this. I'd rather sit here and learn about a bunch of dead people that nobody cares about then to sit in a sweaty smelling gym with a bunch of nobodies. "

I gasped quietly. Not at the comment specifically but at how rude and nonchalant she was about it. How could she say something like that? How rude could she be?

"How rude could you be?" The teacher yelled.

Was he reading my mind?

"I was just saying. " Elizabeth shrugged.

She is such an ass, I swear! If I could make my own friends, I wouldn't be with her.

After school was over, I walked out the doors. I waited by Elizabeth's car since I didn't have one of my own and she was my ride. Just then, I saw Jacob walking out the school. I almost immediately ran up to him to stop him.

"Hey! Jacob! Wait!" I called out. He stopped and turned to me. A look of disgust washed over his face.

"What do you want?" He asked. The depth in his voice made my heart drop.

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you every since lunch. "

"Like you care. " He said as he turned away from me, continuing to walk.

Was he mad at me?

"Wait, Jacob. What's wrong with you?" I asked.

"Nothing. Just leave me alone. "

"Jacob!" I called out to him again, but this time, he continued to walk. I haven't known him for an entire day yet and I've already screwed up.

No wonder why I've never had any friends.

I know this chapter is super short but, I'd consider this an important chapter. You'll see later on in the story.

But put yourself in Jacob's shoes. If this happened to you, would you be mad even if you knew Nina's situation?

What do you think of Elizabeth?
