It's been about 8 months since Ray left and I've finally accepted it. Him being gone no longer affects me the way it did but I still miss him and most importantly, he's still alive. He should be leaving soon between now and a few more months. I can't wait to see him.
"Look baby look!" I cheered. "Isn't this the cutest thing?"
I held up the cute, blue, baby outfit I was gifted with from the baby shower in front of the camera. I know what you're thinking. 'Did she just say baby?' Well yes I did. I'm almost 9 months pregnant and the baby is due next month.
"It is cute. I can't wait to get there." He smiled as he gazed down at my huge stomach.
"I wish you could be here to see his birth. " I sighed. He began to smile. "The hell you smiling for?"
"I have something to tell you. "
"What is it?"
"I will be there for the birth. I told my general about the baby and how he's going to be born two weeks before we leave and he said that he'd make an acceptation. "
"Wait! So are you telling me that you'll be here early?" I nearly shouted.
"YES! I just have to go and fight one more time then I'm free to go. "
I screamed so loud. Loud enough that I think I startled the baby from the way he was kicking.
"I can't believe this. Ooo I'm so happy!" I said. I smiled so hard I was sure to break my face.
"I'm happy too. I can't wait to see you baby. " He said.
"I can't wait either love. "
"But hey. I have to go. " He said as I watched him get up.
"Now? But why?" I asked. Wait to kill the joy.
"I just have to okay?"
"Kay. Love you. " I said.
"Love you more. " He replied before ending the chat. I sighed as I looked around at all the baby stuff I have yet to put away.
I struggled to stand up and finally got on my feet. I walked over to the full body mirror and examined myself. I turned to the side and rubbed my full belly as I stared at it.
"You're going to see your daddy when you're born. " I said to my unborn child.
I smiled at the mirror happily. Everything was coming into place.
So I thought.
