We pulled up to the court house. After bringing up his mother and what happened to her, the mood in the car shifted and the tension grew thick.

But there was no doubt in the world that I'm regretting my decision.

We walked into the courthouse. After a few minutes, we were able to get our paperwork, sign them, and get legally married.

"Wow, we're married. " I smiled hard as we walked to our car.

"Doesn't feel like it. " Rayan responders lowly. What's gotten into him?

"What's the matter?" I asked out if true concern.

"Nothing really. It's just, this wasn't how I imagined marrying the love of my life. " I said. Those words made me blush like never before.

But it was true. This wasn't how I pictured getting married either. We got to the car and drove off.

Out of nowhere, Rayan said something that caught me off guard.

"I feel like this is all my fault. " He said eyeing the road.

"All what?" I asked.

"This." He answered. "The nervousness. The fact that I couldn't give you the wedding you wanted. The fact that we can't start a family."

"Don't do that. Don't even do that. " I said.

"Don't do what Tiffany? It's true. "

"It is not and I refuse to sit here and let you think that bullshit. Your a hero and you're blaming yourself for something that can be put on hold. "

I mean, come on. He's serving our country. How could he say that?

"You don't understand-"

"No Ray, you don't understand. "

The rest of the ride was silent. We argue a lot, but that's how you know the love is real. I don't even sweat it. Besides, we easily get over it.

We pulled up at our house and he went straight upstairs to start packing early. I sat at the edge if the bed watching him. I only have 2 days left before he leaves me here alone.

"So what are we going to do for the couple of days you have left here?" I asked. He turned and smiled at me.

"It's a surprise. "

"Love, you know I hate surprises. "

"Well that's too bad. Besides, you'll love this. " He smiled.

"I'll be the judge of that. "

About an hour later, he was finished packing. It was time for my little 'surprise'.

"Babe, what are you doing? I'm ready to go. " Rayan asked.

"I don't know what to wear! How do you expect me to dress for the occasion if I don't know where we're going?"

"Just put on anything Tiff."

"But what if I don't want to wear just 'anything'?" I asked. I hate surprises!

Rayan started to shuffle through the closet. After almost 3 minutes, he pulled me out an outfit.

"Here. Just put on this. " He handed it to me.

It was my dark blue and light blue sundress with my white wedged heels sandals.

"Fine." I said not really wanting to wear it. After putting it on, we were ready to go.

"Wait!" He said stopping me.

"What now?"

"Turn around. " He demanded. I did as I was told and turned away from him.

He walked up behind me tied something around my eyes which I am assuming was a blindfold.

"Love, what the hell are you doing?" I asked out of confusion. "I can't see. "

"Do you trust me?" Rayan asked.

"Of course I do but-"

"Then be quiet and let me handle this."

Controlling much?

He grabbed me by my hands and led me out the door and down the porch stairs all the way to the car. He helped me in and placed the seatbelt around me. He closed my door, and what I assume, walked over to the drivers side.

"Can I take this blindfold off now?" I asked. "I enjoy using my eyes you know. "

"Stop being such a baby. " He said.
