I walked into the daycare and ducked barely dodging a flying toy truck . My eyes widened as I looked around at all the kids running around and causing chaos. I looked around for the adult figure and found her trying to put a diaper on a little blonde girl. I can't believe I had to help out here. I felt a tug on the hem of my shirt and looked down to see a little boy trying to get my attention.

"Mommy??" he asked with tears in his eyes.

I sighed to myself, "No I'm not your mommy."

"Can I have my truck back, please?" The child asks.

I picked up the little boy and his truck and carried him to the center of the play area where the same woman was now trying to calm down some crying kids.

I let the little boy down and he ran to play with some other kids. When she got the kids to quiet down, she turned her attention to me.

"Oh, great! You must be the new recruit. Reika Hibiki, right?"

"Yeah that's me and you are?"

"Maisuko Amaroshi, I'm the daycare manager, but the other people have all fallen ill and are being treated in the hospital and I'm left here by myself with 30 kids!" She complained.

"That's no problem, as a Leaf ninja I am glad to help out," I replied robotically. 

"Good! Thank you so much! Okay it's half past 12 and its nap time. Can you help me put down the mats?" Maisuko lead me to a closet where they had a pile of mats stored.

I helped Maisuko put down the mats while the kids ran around and played. Surprisingly none of them got hurt. All the mats were down and we started gathering the children one by one and laying them down. I noticed an empty mat. Someone was missing. While Maisuko read the children a book I went looking for this little kid. I looked by the sand box, by the swing set this kid was almost INVISIBLE! I walked around to the rose bushes and saw a little girl holding down a squirrel with an orange light coming from her hands. I knew that jutsu! I ran over to the little girl and picked her and the squirrel in different hands.

"What are you doing?" She asked in monotone. I let the squirrel down gently and it ran away as fast as it could. Then I set the girl down and kneeled down to her level.

"What were you doing to that poor little animal?" I asked her in the same tone she gave me.

"I was killing it," She replied nonchalantly.

I gave her a serious look. "Now, why would you do that? That squirrel didn't do anything bad to you."

"So what?" She retorted.

I became frustrated and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Come on its nap time," I told her, standing up I grabbed her hand and dragged her back inside.

I dragged the little girl to her mat and laid her down. Some of the other kids were restless and didn't want to sleep. I cleared you throat and managed my voice to medium tenor not to high not to low.

"Darling, don't be so shy,

I'll see you at midnight

And when I close my eyes.
