I sat up. Sweat was pouring down my face. Everyone was still asleep. It was 1:00 in the morning. I had only slept an hour.
I grabbed my phone. There were ten text messages from Dominic. 'What could he possibly want?' I thought to myself. I read the messages he wanted me to meet him in the dormitory living room. He texted me these things ten minutes ago.
I got up and walked out of the room without any of the girls noticing me. I walked up the stairs and into the dormitory living room. Dominic was sitting on the couch in front of the fire. He noticed that I had entered the room.
"Are you ok?" He asked me, "you texted me 'Farther what have they done to you!?' A couple of minutes ago. I just stared at him.
"What?" I whispered loudly, "I don't remember texting you that," I said while pulling out my phone. Sure enough there was a text message saying exactly what Dominic had just said. I stared at it. It said I had typed it fifteen minutes ago. 'I would have still been asleep' I thought, 'or maybe I sleep texted' my mind began racing. 'Had all of the things I had just dreamed about been true?' I asked myself.
"Rachael, are you ok?" Dominic asked me.
"No,not really," I said rather shakily.
"Why?" He asked while standing up and stepping closer to me.
I explained all of the things that had happened in my dream to him.
"Hmmm," he said while in deep thought, "I am not sure what to do,"
"Neither am I. Neither one of us can go anywhere. And we don't know how to use our powers. So there is absolutely nothing we can do until we become pretty good at handling our Elements," I said in a mater of fact kind of voice.
"Yeah... Good point," Dominic said, "sorry,"
"It's fine," I said not really convincing him, "let's look at our list classes again, I feel like there's something I missed. It'll also take our minds off of what is happening,"
I was correct. I missed the whole back side of the list Lord Lem gave me. The classes were:
• Transfiguration
• Hand techniques and how to use them
• Creatures of this Realm
• How to defend against other Elements
• Using Element weapons
• Create your own Element Weapon
• Reading and Writing in Element
• How to Act normal in human situations

"Well,we definitely did miss this! Using Element Weapons!?" He said excitedly, "that sounds wicked!"
"Yeah it does!" I said whispering loudly, "I can't wait to get started!!" I was very excited.
"How old are you really?" I asked Dominic suddenly. He looked at me in surprise.
"I am fourteen," he said sounding a little ashamed.
"Why did you say you were twelve?" I asked.
"I had to do it for schooling," he said sadly, "my mum would have put me in the twelfth grade but we couldn't afford the things I needed. So she said I would have to wait until we got some more money," he did not look at me. I felt very sorry for him.
"So you're really as smart as I am?? But you have to play dumb cause you don't have any money?" He nodded, "that's awful!" I said while patting him affectionately on the shoulder.
"I.... I am sorry," I said sadly, "I had no idea..."
"You are the only person I've ever told that to," he said while giving me a sad sad smile, "it's ok. Don't be sad about it. It's better than not going to school at all,right?"
"Right," I said. 'I can't believe it. He is still looking on the bright side of things like this!?' I thought to myself.
I hugged him, "good night," I said. He was in a bit of shock about the hug.
"Good night?" He said sounding confused. I left the room leaving him there in front of the fire.
I got back in bed and thought about poor Dominic, and all that he had been through. I then fell asleep after about ten minutes.
