"When did she get here?" Asked a curious voice next to me, "I am very sure she wasn't here last night,"
"Should we wake her up?" Asked a voice from the opposite side, "no wait she's waking up!"
I opened my eyes abruptly. About five girls were around my bed eyeballing me.
"Ahhh!!!" I said while pulling the covers over my head. They all giggled.
"What's your name?" Asked the voice I heard first.
"My name is Rachael. What's yours?" I asked while emerging from under the covers.
"My name is Moriah! Nice to meet you!!" She said happily.
Moriah was a light skinned,freckled girl, with frizzy (but very curly) reddish brown hair, and green eyes.
"Nice to meet you too,Moriah." I said happily. The other four girls introduced themselves to me one at a time. Their names were: Eleanor,Willow,Madison,and Isabella.
"When did you get here?" I asked all of them. All of them arrived earlier yesterday. So apparently none of them had been to any of the classes yet. I was rather happy to hear that. I did not want to start out behind.
"Do any of you have any siblings??" I asked. All of them shook their heads except for Moriah.
"Who's your sibling?" I asked.
"Well technically I am the sibling. My brother is Darcy. He is fifteen. He is nice as far as brothers go," she said chucking.
"What's his Element?" I asked.
"His is wind," she said happily.
"I think we need to get ready. It's six o'clock and breakfast is in thirty minutes!" I said while getting out of the bed.
I opened my suit case and grabbed my clothes. Within in ten minutes I looked like I normally did. Dressed in black and white,but this time I added a white flat billed hat. Moriah gasped when she saw how I dressed. 'Yeah I know it's terrifying' I thought to myself.
"I thought I was the only person that dressed like that!" She said while running over to her suitcase excitedly. She pulled out an outfit that looked exactly like mine but black and mint.
I stared at her in amazement.
"I know right?!?" She said, "let me go put it on!!" She ran into the bathroom and changed quickly and came back out.
"Sweet!!" I said excitedly. 'I have a new friend!!' I thought to myself triumphantly.
"Come on let's go!" She said while walking out of the room.
"Hey!! Don't you need your backpack?" I asked.
"Oh yeah!!! Thanks!! I have a short memory,sorry!" She ran back over and grabbed her mint colored backpack.
We were down the stairs and walking through the dormitory living room.
"Hey,Rachael wait up!!" Dominic called from behind. Moriah and I stopped and waited on him.
"Dominic,this is Moriah. Moriah,this is Dominic." I said. They shook hands,and we went down to breakfast.
"This is good!" I said while eating my eggs and bacon.
"They sure are!" Dominic said while eating a fork full if eggs.
Our first class was math. The teacher was very nice. She sent the homework to our laptops. Everyone got the same amount but some of the kids got it easier(but they thought it was difficult since the laptops were ment to challenge your thinking) I was doing collage Algebra and so was Dominic(everyone had the same concepts)
All of the teachers sent the homework to our laptops. There was tons and tons to do. This school did not end at 3:30 it ended at 6:00 or on occasion 7:00 (because of the Element classes) I had an extremely tough time staying focused on the Element classes becasue the day had been so long. The teachers said that I caught on quickly.
The two classes I struggled with the most were Light and Darkness,and making your own Element Weapon. I did eventually make a dagger of darkness and a bow if ice.(but it took me thirty minutes to the the fire going just right)
It was odd how you make the Element weapons. You have to transfer some of you powers to the weapon. For some reason I found this extremely difficult. The bright side was none of the other kid's weapons ended up looking as good as mine did.
I walked back into the dormitory at 7:01. Dominic was waiting on me.
"Hey, Rachael!" He said while waving at me.
"Hey!" I said sounding very tired.
"Hey,Rachael!!! I thought I heard you!!" Moriah said while coming into the room, "why are you so late getting in? Fire classes ended ages ago!!"
"I have a more difficult schedule than you do," I said trying to avoid saying I have all the Elements.
"Oh! Cool," she said happily, "dinner is going to be in about an hour and a half," she said.
"When do we get to do homework?" I asked.
"After supper, duh!!" She said. I did a mental face palm. 'Of course it's after supper!' I thought.
"I am gonna work on my homework until dinner then.. It shouldn't take me long," I said while going into the girls dormitory I was in. (There were about five different girls dormitories. Ours was the third to last one when you get up the stairs)
Dominic followed me.
"I might as well work on my home work too," he said while trying to catch up with me.
"Yeah.. I don't wanna be up till ten o'clock tonight working on homework," I said while entering the room.
"Yeah good point.." He said in agreement, "what subject are you gonna do first?" He asked.
"Probably math? Why?" I asked.
"I don't know," he said, "just wondering I guess," he said.
I went and sat near the back board of my bed. Dominic sat at the foot of the bed and stared at me.
"Can I help you?" I asked while staring at my second math problem.
"No,sorry," he said. I gave him a queer look and went back to work. He began talking about stupid nonsense like the weather and the one guy in class who sneezed fire(on accident)
"Didn't you think that was funny?" He asked while laughing.
"Hmmm??? What??" I asked. I was now on my last subject (it does not take me long to do homework even when it's supposed to challenge me)
"Weren't you paying attention to what I was saying?!" Dominic asked loudly.
"No... I said I was gonna do school and that's what I'm doing. I can't multitask like that," I said while looking at the fifth to last problem, "didn't you say you were gonna do school?" I asked. He did not answer. He looked rather frustrated that I had not been paying attention to him. After that I just ignored him and focused on the last problems.
It was now 8:15. I had fifteen minutes until dinner now.
"Ok! I am done with homework now.. We can talk about what ever you would like to," I said while closing my laptop.
"You're really listening this time?" He asked me. I nodded, "ok! What's your favorite number of the alphabet?!" He asked. I stared at him in confusion.
"Seven X?" I said after a minute or two of staring at him. We began laughing.
This was the most I had laughed in a while.
We began walking down to dinner laughing,smiling,and holding hands.
