I began sobbing out of control. Dominic hugged me,and let me cry on his shoulder.
"It's ok,I am sure everything is going to be alright," he said soothingly. I hugged him tighter. He was a true best friend.
"Sorry about last night," I said while sobbing.( Mentioning this was probably going to make things worse.)
"It's ok.. I thought about it afterwards and I thought I was too sudden," he said. I chuckled a little bit.
"Yeah. But I'm sorry anyway," I said. Lord Lem was still standing there. He stared at us and made the moment less cool.
"You need anything?? Some water?? A tissue?? Are you sure you two aren't an item?" Lord Lem asked. I looked at Dominic for approval of what to say.
"Oh... We're definitely an item," I said smirking.
That evening after I got back from all of my classes,I hung out with Dominic. This time we actually did homework and talked afterwards. We talked till twelve o'clock (because it was Saturday and there was so school tomorrow) I went to bed with happy thoughts and a happy heart. My dreams,on the other hand,were absolutely terrifying.
I was back with the Darkness again.
"Eric!!!!! Where are you?!" I called out. There was no answer. The Darkness was surrounding me again.
"I have taken your brother," the Darkness said, "I've taken him to the caves of Xardon," he said. I,to my surprise,stayed very calm. I made a hand motion. Wind came swooping around me and cleared the Darkness. I snapped my fingers and a Fire started in front of me. I could see,but there was nothing to see.
"Am I in the caves of Xardon?" I asked. The Darkness hesitated for a moment.
"Yes." It replied. I woke up.
"Xardon,Xardon,Xardon," I said over and over while I grabbed my laptop. I looked it up. 'There it is!' I thought to myself, "exactly one hundred and fifty miles east.... Whoa! That's a while lot..'
I texted Dominic and told him he needed to pack and that we were going somewhere. 'Do I pack a suitcase or a backpack?' He asked. 'A backpack should be enough' I texted back. 'Ok! I will start'
'Meet me in the living room at two o'clock.. You have about half an hour' I said. 'Ok!'
I went and woke up Moriah. She was definitely not a morning person. She almost slapped me cause I woke her up so suddenly. Her frizzy hair made her look rather frightening. She got up and packed anyway. I was extremely thankful that she was good at being quiet.
It was now 2:00. Moriah and I were waiting on Dominic to show up. We sat there and began dozing off on each other.
"Hi girls!" Dominic whispered loudly. We both jumped at him suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Moriah got so scared that she punched him in the stomach.
"Sorry," she said while sounding very not sorry at all.
"Yeah. I am sure you are," Dominic said while grasping his stomach.
"Will you two stop messing around?? We need to get going." I said.
"Ok," he said.
We left and ran through the large castle. I used the power of darkness to help us hide in the shadows from passing teachers. Luckily we were not noticed!
We took a secret passage I had found on the first day and went to the east exit. There were guards stationed where we needed to go.
"Alright you guys I need a distraction," I whispered loudly.
"Why don't you do it?? You're head of the class," Dominic complained.
"If both of you can't do it than I will.
Moriah, there is something you should know.. I meant to tell you earlier... But,I have all the Elements.." I said. She stared at me in amazement with her mouth open.
"Ok...." She said shakily, "that's a lot to take in.."
"It really isn't,but ok!!" I said, "Moriah... You attempt the distraction first.." I said.
"What kind of distraction??" She asked.
"A big explosion in the other side of the castle," I suggested, "really try to focus!! It needs to be as far away from here as possible," I said rather frantically. She closed her eyes and focused. She did the hand motion for the explosion. There was a loud boom that echoed for behind the castle.
"Good job!" I said. The guards were running towards the explosion. We took our opportunity and ran to the forest. The forest was extremely dismal. There were creepy shadows all along the forest floor. The trees were groaning in the wind. I clapped my hands. A tiny fire lit up in the middle of my palm.
"There some light!" I said happily.
"When did you learn to do that?" Dominic asked.
"If you stay back after class you can learn some pretty nifty things." I said proudly, "this fire is too small," I said. I reached into my large back pack and pulled out a sword I had made. (I was actually carrying all of the Weapons I had made) It was a Fire sword. I clicked a button and the blade burst into flames.
"There we go!" I said smirking. Dominic and Moriah stared at it in amazement.
"You said that the class challenges you," Moriah said, "how did you make that?!"
"It doesn't challenge me now obviously.. I catch on fast remember?? I made this yesterday evening.. Mr. Smithy helped me with the button."
"You never cease to amaze me," Dominic said. Moriah,from what I could see,rolled her eyes. I did not blame her at all.
We walked for about five hours. I could see the sun now. We were not moving quickly at all. We had only walked about five miles. I was slightly ashamed of the pace we were moving at.
"Rachael,can we take a break?" Moriah asked. I stopped and sat down, "so yes??" She said chuckling.
"Did anyone bring any food?" Dominic asked. Moriah and I gave him a look of 'how could you possibly be hungry??'
"How can you be hungry?? We ate six hours ago.." Moriah said sounding very annoyed.
"I'm usually not hungry.. But since we have been walking for about five miles I have become very hungry!"
"Wimp!" She said while sticking her tongue out at him.
"Oh... My.... Gosh!!! Will you two cut it out!?" I asked, "I am trying to think!!"
"What are you thinking about??" Dominic asked.
"Eric!!!" I said angrily, "come on let's go!!" I said while standing up and running. They chased after me. I lied slightly when I said I was thinking about Eric. It turns out I was thinking about how to get us moving faster. It worked very well.
