I could not sleep. I was thinking about what had happened with poor Dominic. I really regretted all that I had done with him. Holding his hand was the main thing that I regret doing. 'I am so sorry Dominic.. I had no idea you liked me like that. But I guess I did kinda ask for it' I thought to myself over and over again. I fell asleep chanting this in my head over and over again.
That day Dominic ignored me completely. I do not blame him at all. I would ignore me too if that had happened to me.
I was running to get to class. I was not looking where I was going and I ran smack into something. I fell and so did the thing I ran into. There was a loud thud when we landed.
"Whoa! Are you alright?" He asked while standing back up.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" I said while rubbing my head.
"What's your name,pretty lady?" He asked me. I froze. 'Oh please not again!' I said in my head.
"Rachael, what's yours?" I asked.
"I am Darcy.." He said while extending me a hand to help me up off the ground. I took his hand and he pulled me up.
Darcy was about 5'10, light skinned,had a fairly deep voice,dark brown hair,and bright blue eyes.
"Nice to meet you. Aren't you Moriah's older brother?" I asked.
"Yep!" He said happily, "she's a pretty sweet little sis," he said.
"Yeah! She's one of my best friends!" I said while smiling, "I need to get to class!" I said quickly, "that's why I was running.. I like to be early,"
"My class doesn't start for thirty minutes.. Do you want me to walk with you?" He asked. I was a bit in shock about what was happening. I did not was to have another experience like I had just had with Dominic ever again.
"No. But thanks anyway," I said. I do not think he took me seriously. I think he took my telling him no as 'oh yes please by all means come along!' He followed me to class.
"Good bye,Rachael!" He said after I got in class. I waved at him and told him bye.
Moriah came into the classroom a few minutes later.
"Your brother is Mr. Flirt!" I said as she tool the desk next to me.
"Yeah... I know. He just texted me and told me about your encounter with him. He said you're absolutely beautiful!" She shook her head while laughing at how crazy boys could be. 'Am I really this attractive?' I thought to myself.
"Wow...." I said sounding rather embarrassed.
After my first five classes it was time for lunch. I sat with Moriah,Willow,Madison,Eleanor and Isabella.(so basically my dorm girls) Dominic sat with his buddies and ignored, me yet again. I got a phone call in the middle of dinner. It was mum.
"Yellow!" I said thinking she was going to ask me how I was doing.
"Eric ran away!!" She said frantically.
"What!?" I said loud enough for everyone at our table to hear. Dominic stood up and ran over to me.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Eric ran away!" I said beginning to cry, "why did he run away?!" I asked mum.
"He got so infuriated that he didn't have the power of Elements that he ran away!!" She said while sobbing.
"He couldn't have gotten far! Where did you search??" I asked. Dominic was holding my free hand to comfort me.
"I've searched all over the house!! All over the neighborhood.. Even in the city! He is absolutely no where!! I even called the police for a search party!!" She said.
"Have you tried calling him??" I asked trying to be logical.
"He left his phone at the house!" She said.
"Ok.. Well I need to go! I will ask Lord Lem if he has anything to find relatives or something like that,"
"Ok! Be safe!!" She said, "I love you!"
"I love you too!" I said. I hung up. I ran up to the teachers table which was at the front of the eating area.
"Lord Lem, I was wondering if you have a type of tracking device that can find non-Element people," I said trying to sound calm.
"Yes we do,in fact!" He said with a bite of Turkey leg in his mouth, "follow me,"
He stood up and led me to a dark room near the back of the castle. There was no light in the room except for a small hovering sphere. It was glowing an odd yellowish color.
"If you want to find normal people. This is your thing! Show me Eric Levi related to Rachael Levi," he told the glowing sphere.
"Not found!" It replied in a deep loud voice. My heart skipped a few beats. I began to cry.
"What do you mean not found?!" Lord Lem asked angrily.
"He isn't in heaven or on earth! He is no where to be found!" It replied.
