As she says she loves me

With every flickering word that comes from her perfect red lips.
So to comes the flickering of a thousand whips
causing perfect red lashes upon my skin.
You see her love is amazing to me.
Her love is better then any beauty
Her love is so sweet but ever word a constant reminder of the past
of all the ones that didn't last
of all the girls who " loved" me before.
All who walked out that door.
All the girls who crawled under my skin
who still leave a mark of a battle I can't win
every time I hear her say I love you.
And I mutter back I love you too
because even though I mean it more so then any other statement
I've ever made
I still feel spent
And my mind is still afraid.
Still imprisoned that she will hurt me
If me I let her see
Maybe if I let her in
she'll fill me with more sin
like the last 5.
Like even though she makes me feel a live
my death is for what she'll strive
if I ever let my heart open again.
It will be decimated
and exterminated.
As she says I love you.
I hold on to
a world in which I know that can't be true
and with that same tuff breath I let go.
