Moving on

Been down this road from time to time
Broke my back and twisted my spin
I never walk the same path twice
But always make the same self sacrifice.
All I wanted was you with me
Now I set you free.
Love is but sweet toxicity
A word I've come to see
Would be a much better name for me
I walk this Ally Down the dark
Past the trees in the park
To the tracks I once knew
A noose awaits salvation so true
But then I stopped and stood again
Vow to be of better men
As if my kingship and blood
Could lift me from the mud
That you so willingly tossed me in
Filling me with self hatred within
I will walk this road time and time again
Until I find a love like yours to once again take up the pen
And blissfully write
Of a warm summers night
Where I kissed her and felt alive
Unlike how I met you
Cold and deprived
No this time I'll find a love true
Because in the end I'm better with out you
Not you nor noose can hold me down
For my body remains down with the clown.
Free to roam through life a freak
And happy to be a geek.
If you won't love me someone else will
And with all of my love their heart will fill.
