Your Graduation

I gently dragged my hand down the lockers as I walked down the hallways for the last time. I stopped in front of a window and adjusted my cap and gown. I was feeling a whirlpool of emotions, one of which was disappointment for my boyfriend Luke was on tour and couldn't make to my grad ceremony. I sighed and felt the tears welling in my eyes. Suddenly I was whisked of my feet I turned my head in shock to see it was Luke. "Luke!" I exclaimed. The shock of the surprise caused the tears to finally fall. I wrapped my arms around him and sobbed. "Babe? Why are you crying? What's wrong?"He said holding me out to look at me. "I-I thought y-you weren't g-g-going to be here." I sobbed hugging him tight again. "Shh Shh babe c'mon I wouldn't miss this for the world" Luke said softly hugging me back."I-i also c-can't believe this is actually happening... t-that this i-i-is the last time I'll b-b-be in these halls..  I'm f-finally graduating." I sniffled feeling slightly stupid. " I know this feels weird right now but think of it this way you'll finally be joining us on tour with no school interuptions or lingering projects...  you are finally free." Luke chuckled scooping me up and twirling me around. "I guess that's true."I smiled. "You bet now c'mon lets go get you your diploma." Luke said grabbing my hand and running down the hall.
