Family Day, the one day a month where students can see their parents and/or siblings. Some people liked it more than others. For Lucy and Kam it was just a day that they spent together, without any of their friends being mocked by the school bullying Sophia (17) and her group of wanna-be's. Sophia was the head of the mean girls. She was a goblin, just like Lucy. But at least Lucy was nice. Sophia hated Jillian and her friends with a passion. She hated that Jill was happy and she wasn't. They used to be friends, when Jill first got to the school, she was Sophia's best friend. Before Sophia was mean and cruel, she was nice and she was fun to be around. When she started getting mean that's about the time Jillian left. Sophia became mean and rude and that's when Jillian had enough of the yelling and bullying. Sophia didn't understand why Jill left.
"Look at the familyless geeks. Are your little friends gone? Are you all alone? Are you sad?" Lulu (15, Pixie) asked meanly. Kam had tried to stand up to them before but now he saw Lucy getting worked up.
"Bugger off bitch." Kam said. Taylor (14, elf) giggled. She looked straight at Kam and smiled wickedly at him.
"Oh shut up. No one cares you little fag." Taylor laughed as she tried to make him cry. He looked her in the eye.
"Listen. You are just a prissy little bitch who just flashes a smile and has all the boys falling. But guess what, this little boy doesn't fall for you. You're just mad that I don't love you." Kam stood up for himself. He hated them. They called him all kinds of things. He wouldn't let them win this battle. He looked at Lucy, who was crying. She took seriously to all the yelling. Kam was the only one who knew what happened to Lucy. The only one she trusted with a secret that big. They were best friends.
"Okay, little gay trash. You need to stop being so mean to girls younger than you." Bianca (16,vampire) said rudely. She pushed Kam over as she shoved him.
"Hey. Hey. What's going on?" Tessa ran over. This is when Sophia took advantage. She didn't know Tessa. She hasn't seen her before.
"He's being mean. He's bullying us. And he's being extremely rude to Taylor. She's only 14." Sophia said. Tessa looked at Taylor and then at Kam, who was still furious and was getting madder by the minute. Tessa then looked at Sophia and her friends.
"Listen, I don't know who you or any of your friends are but I do know my friends, and Kam only does things when provoked. So if you don't mind, you need to go back to the meeting room." Tessa said. Sophia was offended.
Once Sophia and her group of hoes were gone Tessa turned around and looked at her friends.
"And she was?" Tessa asked. Kam looked at his crying best friends. He cradled her and shushed her. He was trying to make things easy on her. It was hard for Lucy.
"Her name is Sophia and her group of bitches are made up of the future of this school. Taylor, Lulu, and Bianca." Kam said holding his best friend.
"Tessa, you should go find your family. They might be looking for you. And Lucy, Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery are waiting for you. Do you want me to walk you out?" Kam asked. Lucy nodded. She stood up and Kam held her hand. They walked out with Tessa following. Tessa saw her brother standing there checking out Jillian. She walked over.
"You know, she's your age. And single." Tessa mocked her brother. She loved mocking him.
"Tessa!" Markus hugged her. Tessa hugged him back. She knew he missed her.
"Markus, really, I can talk to Jill for you." Tessa said. Mark looked at her. He looked back at Jillian.
"But she's a creature." Markus said. Tessa looked at him and sighed. She was too but of course she was his sister. He had to love her.
"Is mom here?" Tessa said hopeful. Markus looked at her. His smiled faded, he looked her in the eye. Tessa knew her mom wouldn't go to the family day. She knew it, but she wished she could believe her mom would take one day off work.
"She wanted to but was called into work last minute. She dropped me and left. I'm sorry. But she wanted you to have this letter. She wrote it for you." Markus said pulling an envelope out of his pocket. Tessa put the letter in her pocket.
"Let's go for a walk!" Tessa said happily. Her and Markus walked around the school for hours until it was time for him to go home. Jillian's parents said they could drive Mark home.
