We get back to the neighborhood. Everyone is rushing around, terrified. The once peaceful place has been stricken with chaos. But why?
Cara parks the truck in front of her house. I carry little Paige into the house as Cara runs beside us. Once inside, I think the stress has ended. Cara knows otherwise. She lifts up some of the floor boards in front of the couch revealing a hidden underground bomb shelter. "Get in," is all she says.
After Paige, Cara, and I are all inside of the shelter, Cara seals the entrance. "What's going on?" Paige asks. Her eyes are glued on Cara. "Well, some mean people are coming, and we are hiding from them." The aliens. "What if the bad guys find us?" asks Paige. She's obviously terrified. "They can't," I assure her. Soon, Paige falls asleep.
Before I can ask Cara more about what's going on, I hear an explosion. "Why would they want to bomb this small neighborhood?" I ask Cara. "We know to much, she says." "You know about the aliens?" "Yes," she confirms.
