I can't believe who is standing at the door. I must be crazy. I know he died years ago. Maybe Jake shape shifted into him like he shape shifted into Adrian. I feel a tear roll off of my cheek as my father walked towards me. He stops just a few feet away from my chair and smiles at me. "You must be shocked to see me, Amanda, and you probably have many questions," he says.

"I will do my best to answer them, but I am afraid I might not have all of the information you seek. You see, you and your sister are very special, and that is not exactly good for me. You are not exactly human. You mother was, but I am the opposite. I was not born a human, I was sent here when I was young so that I could live a normal human life. That was the only way that I could one day rule the planet and soon the universe.

After your sister was born, I realized I wasn't going to get any where sitting here and pretending to be human. I then faked my death so I could start an invasion of my kind. I found that the easiest way to take over would be to just kill all of the humans, but I realized they could be valuable to me. They could serve as servants so that I would never have to do so much as lift a finger.

Then, I remembered that you and your sister existed. You are the only ones who's minds can't be manipulated as easily as the average human. I knew that I couldn't have anything stand in my way, and I had no clue what you would look like after so much time had passed. Because of this, I decided to create a test to find you. After the humans lost the war, I manipulated every living humans mind so that they didn't know my kind even existed. Being able to control everyone made it a lot easier for me to find you. Those safe neighborhoods for groups of people who remembered the past were fake. I purposely didn't fully manipulate some of their minds so that you would feel a false sense of safety. I even let that one older woman have the ability to know who remembered their past so that I could be sure that they would find you. Humans are so predictable. I am sorry, but I must kill you and Paige. I am sure you understand, it is the only way for me to rule. It is especially important now that your friend has restored every humans memories."

I am frozen with shock and fear. My father is the cause of all of this. He wants to kill me and Paige. He is one of them.

"Before you die, I will shed some light upon the mysterious villain who kidnapped your sister. Jake didn't die when your friend shot him. That is because the only way for our kind to die is if another alien, as you might say, kills them. So if I wanted to kill Jake, he could die. If Jake wanted to kill me, I could die. Even if your friend had the most powerful gun, he could not have killed one of us. You in the other hand, are a different story. That is another reason you must die."

Suddenly, the door opens and two guards lead Paige into the room. She sees me and her eyes light up. She must think I can save her. The truth is, I can't. There is no possible way. Unless, I somehow get a gun. I don't know if that is possible.

"Now, it is time for you to watch your little sister die," says my father with an evil grin. He points the gun at her head. Paige looks at me with the saddest eyes I have ever seen. I am crying uncontrollably now. I can't save her. No one can save her. Paige is going to die.

Just when my father is about to pull the trigger, someone bursts through the door. Adrian. My father's attention is now focused on signaling his guards to go after him. This gives Paige enough time to run. She runs to me. Not to the exit, me. I am still restrained by this awful chair, otherwise I would hug her. Paige is really here, really alive. She is going to die soon, if I can't do anything to save her.

The guards still haven't been able to restrain Adrian. I see that Adrian has somehow gotten a hold of two guns. He looks at me, then he throws one of the guns to me. I can't catch it, but Paige somehow does. Paige is half alien too. Paige can kill them. I tell her to stand up right now. She looks frightened, but she follows my instructions.

My father sees what is happening and aims his gun at me. He shoots, but it barley misses me, bouncing off of the back of the chair and hitting him in the stomach. The impact knocks him off of his feet, but I can tell he is not dead. When he falls, the cuffs on the chair unlock, I am free.

I see one of the guards is also down, and the other is trying to get the gun away from Adrian. I know the guard that is down is an alien, and so is the one that is fighting Adrian. I take the gun from Paige and tell her to hide behind the chair, and she does so without a word.

I run to Adrian's side and shoot the guard that is fighting him in the head. I then shoot the guard that is injured. I tell Adrian to go help Paige, and then I walk over to my father, who lies in the floor with a fatal injury. I aim my gun at his head, and he aims his gun at me. We both pull the trigger at the exact same time.

They say that your life flashes before your eyes before you die. I beg to differ. All that I know is that I am dying, and although I hear her sorrowful screams, Paige is safe. I knew all along that someday, I would have to die for my sister, and in my last few seconds, I don't regret it at all. I know I will be remembered. As long as I live on in her heart, Paige will not let me be

Author's note: This is the last chapter of forgotten. Thank you so so so much if you are reading this. I never wanted this book to end, and although the book is finished, the  story is not over. I am going to write a sequel in Paige's perspective after a different sci fi book. This concludes my first book on wattpad, and I know it isn't perfect, but it is special to me nonetheless. Please remember this story, and don't let Amanda Joan be Forgotten.
