Run. Run Away. Stay. Either leads to death. My head tells me to leave. My heart tells me to stay. Cara is my best and only friend. I cannot leave her. Charity died two days ago. I have tried to convince Cara to leave. She won't leave the body. Charity is gone. The body is not her. The body is lifeless. I told Cara we can take the body and bury it. She still won't leave.
If we stay, we will probably die. If we leave, we might have a better chance. By "we" I mean her. I won't stand a chance once I murder some aliens. I am going to save Paige. I will have to kill to do so. For my sister, I will kill. For Charity, I would have killed.
I need Cara to come with me. Not for me, for Paige. Once I save her, I will die. A five year old can't live in her own. I still have my back pack. It is empty now, but it can still help me. I can maybe guilt Cara into helping me?
At breakfast hour, we can go to the cafeteria. Cara will create a distraction while I stuff my back pack with food. Cara knows karate, so she can take out the guards. We can steal their guns. After we have guns, breaking out will be easy. We can build a shelter in the middle of the woods, maybe even in the trees. We will live there while we come up with another plan to save Paige. I won't tell Cara that I will die.
"Cara, I need your help. I need to save Paige and I can't do it without you." Silence. "Without your help, another innocent child will die."Finally, she answers. "Amanda, you don't even have a plan," she says coldly. "Trust me, I have a plan." I then tell her the plan leaving out one detail, I will die.
