Morgan's pov
I took a step forward and everything around me changed. I couldn't see my parents or Michael anymore but I was still in the same forest.

There was no way out but the figure that had been haunting me was right in front of me. The only way out was to kill it.

Here's what you have to do

My mothers voice said. She was inside my head.

You have to make him really angry so he is in his solid form. That's the only was you can hurt him.

I nodded and took a step closer to him.

"Hey you stupid demon" I yelled.

"You could never hurt me" it turned around to face me.

"Everything you do doesn't affect me so just give up"

It's eyes turned red as it lunged to me. I pushed it back. It was solid which meant I could hurt it.

Choke him

My mother said. My breath hitched in my throat. How was I suppose to do that? I've never killed anybody. It wasn't really a person and it had hurt me but I couldn't choke it.

He pinned me to a tree and wrapped his cold hand around my neck.

"I warned you" he yelled in my face.

A gust of wind blew in my face making my hair fly back. I squeezed my eyes shut and punched him in the face.

He fell back giving me a chance to move away. I went to the other side of the area we were trapped in.

Keep fighting Morgan

I ran to him and pinned him to the ground. I wrapped my hands around his neck and choked him like he had done to me.

Good job

He pushed me off of him. I fell back. He climbed on top of me before I could get up.

"You stupid little girl" he laughed.

He slapped me making my head whip to the side. He took his finger nail which was super long and sharp and pushed it into my neck. I felt blood trickle down my neck.

"Should of given up a long time ago" he whispered trailing his finger nail down my arm.

Don't give up Morgan

I pushed him off of me and pinned him down. I started choking him again like my mother had told me.

I ignored the pain I felt in my arm and neck and focused on beating my demon.

Almost there keep going

I used all my strength to hold him down until he stopped thrashing around and laid lifeless below me.

I rolled off of him and laid on my back. I just killed my demon. I was free.

The forest went back to normal and Michael rushed over to me.

"You did it" Michael smiled helping me sit up.

"Oh my god" I whispered.

"I'm so proud of you" he lifted my chin up and kissed me gently.

"Where are my parents?" I asked looking around. I noticed I didn't feel any pain from the demon and my neck or arm wasn't bleeding anymore.

"We can't see them anymore. They were here to help you and now that your free from that thing you don't need them anymore" he explained.

"What?" I whispered feeling tears fall down my face.

"They will still watch over you and can come anytime you need help" Michael said pulling me into his chest.

"I'm so proud of you babe" he whispered.

I leaned into him as he wrapped his arms around me again. I sniffled and tried to stop crying but I wanted to have my parents.

But I was also crying tears of joy. I wouldn't be hurt anymore and neither would Michael. This was it. I was finally free.
